WBA Future Champions Panama Continues to Grow – World Boxing Association
The WBA Future Champions returned to Panama this weekend with another action-packed showcase filled with new milestones. The program, which has become a major driving force for the country’s young boxing talent, delivered a successful card this past Saturday in partnership with TV Max — a groundbreaking step forward for the project.
The initiative, spearheaded in Panama by Fedelatin vice director Alfredo Mendoza, continues to gain momentum through new partnerships and expanded opportunities. After visiting different regions across the country and providing hundreds of young fighters with a platform to compete, the project reached another landmark moment by staging the event inside the GECU studios at the University of Panama. From there, the event was broadcast through the renowned Panamanian network in addition to the traditional live stream on the WBA’s YouTube channel.
The card featured 16 bouts involving children and teenage fighters, all of whom received another opportunity to showcase their skills, continue their development, and move one step closer toward becoming the world champions of tomorrow.
The mission of WBA Future remains clear: to provide a platform for young athletes and contribute to the structured growth of boxing in different countries. Panama continues to stand as one of the key hubs for the initiative, as the birthplace of the pioneering sanctioning body and a nation overflowing with boxing talent.
This weekend’s event proved to be one of the project’s most memorable editions yet, highlighting how collaboration between different organizations and supporters can continue elevating the sport while helping develop the next generation of elite fighters.
