Meyna and Ramírez Set for October 2 Clash for WBA Continental Heavyweight Title – World Boxing Association

The heavyweight division promises a true test of firepower and sheer strength this Friday, October 2, as rising Polish contender Kacper Meyna takes on seasoned former world champion Víctor Emilio “El Tyson del Abasto” Ramírez for the WBA Continental Heavyweight title.

Meyna will step into the ring with the youth, momentum and determination to establish himself on the international stage in boxing’s glamour division. The European contender is known for his methodical aggression, strong punch volume at mid-range and respectable power capable of changing the course of a fight in an instant. Against Ramírez, Meyna’s primary task will be to make his reach and physical freshness count, control the center of the ring behind a commanding jab and neutralize the Argentine’s forward pressure before getting drawn into exchanges at close range.

Across the ring, Ramírez brings veteran savvy, elite-level experience and the fighting spirit that carried him to a world title at cruiserweight. “El Tyson del Abasto” is no stranger to high-contact battles and will look to turn this fight into a grueling, physical affair. The Argentine’s game plan will center on applying pressure behind a tight guard, cutting off the ring and unleashing dangerous hooks to the body to disrupt the Polish fighter’s rhythm.

The matchup shapes up as a fight with little room for error: Meyna’s speed, size and ambition to establish himself against Ramírez’s strength, experience and fight-changing power in a battle-tested heavyweight.
