Joey Essex and Dapper Laughs draw as Misfits Boxing delivers a night of close calls
Joey Essex and Dapper Laughs could not be separated in the main event at Misfits Boxing in London, with their four-round contest ending in a split draw. The Copper Box Arena card also featured two more draws, a title defence and several stoppages.
Main Event: Joey Essex vs Dapper Laughs
Essex and Dapper Laughs both left without the victory after the judges returned scores of 39-37 for Essex, 40-36 for Dapper and 38-38. The split draw proved divisive, with the result booed by sections of the crowd.
The contrasting scorecards made for a dramatic end to the show, but neither man could claim an outright win. The result leaves their Misfits records level after a main event that had plenty of people debating the judges’ verdict.
