Knockout Night in Yong-In: Bo-Mi-Re Shin and Sultonov Score TKO Wins in South Korea – World Boxing Association

Yong-In, South Korea, played host to a fight card that required no scorecards, as Bo-Mi-Re Shin and Isroilzhon Sultonov reinforced their regional dominance with technical knockout victories in their respective title bouts.

In the women’s lightweight division, South Korean star Bo-Mi-Re Shin delivered a masterclass against Adelina Satybaldieva. Shin took control of the center of the ring from the opening bell, mixing straight punches to the head with a relentless body attack that gradually wore down the challenger.

The finish came in the fifth round, when the hometown fighter turned up the pressure and unleashed an unanswered flurry against the ropes, forcing the referee to step in and stop the contest. The emphatic victory allowed Shin to retain her WBA Asia female lightweight title.

Meanwhile, the super lightweight division (140 pounds) featured a grueling battle of attrition between Isroilzhon Sultonov and durable Chinese fighter Hu Xiong, with the WBA Asia East championship on the line. Although Xiong put up a fight in the early rounds by pressing the action at close range, Sultonov gradually took control with superior accuracy and counterpunching speed.

After systematically breaking down his opponent over the championship rounds, Sultonov sealed the deal in the ninth, unleashing a decisive barrage that forced the referee to stop the contest and award him the technical knockout victory.
