David Tua, Jameel McCline, Yuri Foreman and Edison Miranda on Warrior/Cedric Kushner Boxing Promotion

“Rumble at the Rock” Live on Pay Per View on Friday Night, October 21st

Highly rated heavyweight contender David Tua will make his long-awaited United States return to the ring against tough-minded Cisse Salif in the main event, and well regarded heavyweight Jameel McCline takes on Zuri Lawrence in the co-feature when Warriors Boxing Promotions in association with Cedric Kushner Promotions presents “Rumble at the Rock” on Friday night, October 21, live on pay per view from the brand new Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Tua, the South Auckland, New Zealand slugger, boasts a powerful ring record of 43-3-1, with 38 triumphs coming by way of knockout. New York City’s Salif, a knockout artist himself, is 17-4-2 with 16 KO’s, which ensures a lively main event.

The pay-per-view card is stocked with talent. The top rated heavyweight McCline (31-5-3,19 KO’s) will square off against Lawrence (19-10-4) of Poughkeepsie, NY, unbeaten Brooklyn junior middleweight Yuri Foreman (18-0, 7 KO’s) faces Minnesota’s Troy Lawry (27-5 , l6 KO’d) of St. Paul, MN, and the exciting, undefeated middleweight Edison Miranda (24-0, 21 KO’s) steps into the ring against Angel Hernandez (26-6, 16 KO’s) of Mexico on an action-packed show from the opening bell.

Samoan strongman Tua is one of the most feared knockout artists in the game, as his 80 percent knockout ratio will attest. He has turned back the challenges of some of the premiere heavyweights in the sport including former world champions Hasim Rahman, John Ruiz and Michael Moorer. Sullivan. Tua was turned back at his chance for glory by then-champion Lennox Lewis in a hard fought decision. New York bred McCline, who has long fought out of Clifton, NJ, has faced both Chris Byrd (IBF) and Wladimir Klitschko (WBO) for versions of the heavyweight title, most recently just missing in a split decision for the IBF title against Byrd at the Garden. McCline emerged as a bona fide contender for the title in 2000 when he reeled off seven consecutive triumphs against the likes of Al Cole, Lance Whitaker, Michael Grant and Shannon Briggs.

Both Foreman and Miranda are developing top young stars in their respective divisions. The junior middleweight Foreman is a former New York Golden Gloves champion who originally hails from Belarus before migrating to Israel. He now fights our of Gleason’s Gym in the boxing hotbed of Brooklyn, New York, and has reeled off 18 consecutive triumphs as a professional ranks.

Miranda has emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the middleweight ranks, displaying knockout power during an unblemished 24-0 run, putting forth an awesome 88 percent knockout to win ratio.
