Former two-time WBC lightweight champion Jose Luis Castillo will face Rolando Reyes in a 12-round lightweight bout in Saturday’s main event on SHOWTIME (9 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the west coast). In the SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING co-feature, Jose Armando Santa Cruz defends his NABF l135-pound title against Edwin Cherry.

“I had prepared for a guy who came at me, but now I am expecting a totally different kind of fight. I hear Reyes is a mover with good handspeed. The first couple rounds could be difficult so I know I cannot take him lightly.
“But I know that once I find him, he is going to go. I figure by the fifth round or so.
“I feel strong. I feel good. I am looking forward to fighting again on SHOWTIME. I want to put on a good show for those who watch on SHOWTIME and for those who show up to watch in person. I like fighting in El Paso.’’
