Steve Goodwin is delighted to announce the signing of exciting Edinburgh based boxer, 25 year old – John McCallum.
McCallum who was a star amateur, winning over 90% of his fights and representing Scotland on many occasions, has had a very slow start to his professional career – having only four fights in three years.
Whilst winning all four fights, his career has lacked momentum and so he has now signed a three year contract with the ever expanding Goodwin team.
Steve said “I am delighted to have signed John. There is no doubt he has the talent to reach the top and we aim to get him there very quickly over the next 18 months.
“John will have his next outing on a Phil Jeffries show on September 28th. I expect to see John fighting around the UK whilst we build him towards title contention. I want to see the Edinburgh community get behind him. “
John said “I am delighted to sign with Steve. He is forward thinking and will create the opportunities for me over the next 18 months.”
