Last night, WBA and IBF Super Middleweight Champion – Carl Froch, made his debut on the dancing scene in ITV’s new ‘Stepping Out’ programme.
The programme features six celebrity couples who spend time at home learning a dance ready for the Saturday Show.
Carl and partner Rachael Cordingly had to learn the Cha-Cha this week and were first to dance for the Judges – Jason Gardiner, Mel B and Wayne Sleep.
There were a couple of impressive lifts in the routine which the pair handled well – but it was model Rachael who stole the limelight. “Rachael makes me look good,” said Carl after the dance.
“Carl, you need a bit of rhythm!” laughed Mel B.
Jason Gardner said “Your girlfriend has just KO’d you tonight…….you have to loosen up a bit”.
And Wayne Sleep added “Carl, you were a bit behind, Rachael dominated you.”
A total points score of 31 out of 60 put the couple in fourth place.
Next week they will be dancing a Bollywood-style ‘Bangra’! (That should be interesting….)
