Matty Askin has visited Menay Edwards in hospital today and despite ‘The Emperor’ having had a bad night – he was in good spirits for his visitors and was walking and talking.
Edwards was stretchered out of the ring in Blackpool on Saturday night following a ninth round knockdown by the Champion – Askins. It was a worrying time for all in attendance at the Winter Gardens but thankfully Edwards now seems to be back on the road to recovery.
