Buglioni Eyes Massive Unifications But Must Defeat WBA King Chudinov

ByBoxing Press 20/08/2015

Enfield Super Middleweight Frank Buglioni, who faces Russian WBA Super Middleweight Champion Fedor Chudinov on the 26th September, believes a World Title win at Wembley Arena could set up an all British unification fight with either George Groves, who challenges for the WBC Super Middleweight Title against Badou Jack on September 12th, or reigning IBF Champion James DeGale.

“Once I pick up a World Title belt all those big domestic clashes open up for me. I see myself on a level with those guys and a win against Chudinov will prove that,” said Buglioni. “However, I am not looking past Chudinov. I’m expecting the toughest fight of my career, but you will see a career best Frank Buglioni on the 26th September, my preparations so far have been excellent.”

The ‘Wise Guy’ is particularly interested in an all British clash with fellow Chelsea diehard fan George Groves. “It would be great if we both win our world title fights. A unification fight with him at Stamford Bridge in the summer would be a dream come true, as we are both big Chelsea fans.”

“We have sparred a lot in the past, he is the quality fighter but I would fancy my chances.”

Buglioni’s opponent for Wembley Arena – Chudinov, is coming off a career best win against multi occasion World Champion Felix Sturm, where he picked up the vacant title and has looked ‘machine like’ in his last few performances, but Buglioni is confident that he can upset the odds to become a world champion mere miles from his home.

“This is what every fighter dreams about, I am not going to blow my chance.”

Frank recently filmed a promo for the fight with Chudinov which can viewed on the below link: http://youtu.be/M7Fay5NqjYo

Tickets are on sale now Priced at £40, £50, £75, £100 and £150 they will be available from Eventim on 0844 249 1000 and www.eventim.co.uk and on 0844 815 0815 and www.axs.com.

  • Do we understand that these people are FIGHTING? 03/10/2026
We watch boxing as if it is just a sport. But do we realize that these people are fighting. Like, literally trying to beat each other to death in the ring? Do we appreciate how different that is? I was sitting back today and watching some old fights and the reality hit me. These people are actually fighting. How amazing and shocking that is at the same time? […]

He’s Eddies mate and I know they’ve been doing interviews since before either of them really had a profile…but Eddie still gives Kugan wayyyyy too much latitude in the interviews that Hearn needs to resonate with the public.
