Carl “Iron Fist” Davis Headlines Next 8 Count Boxing Fight Card In Chicago

ByBoxing Press 08/05/2007

Chicago heavyweight Carl “Iron Fist” Davis returns to the ring this Friday night against Zack Page at Cicero Stadium in the ten round co-main event of “Mano A Mano” presented by Dominic Pesoli’s 8 Count Productions,

Davis, 9-2 (8KO’s) is coming off a devastating first round knockout of Nigerian Innocent Otukwu three months ago in front of a stunned crowd at Cicero Stadium. The knockout was the eighth of Davis’ career, all of which have come in the first two rounds. Standing 6’4” and weighing 235 pounds, Davis brings size and tremendous punching power to the ring.

Warren, Ohio native Page, 13-12-1 (5KO’s) has fought numerous highly regarded contenders and prospects. On October 20, 2006, Page won a unanimous decision over former world champion Lou Del Valle in Youngstown, Ohio. He has also been in distance battles with Dominick Guinn, Jonathan Banks, Mike Mollo and Mike Marrone.

Said Pesoli, “This is a terrific match up and a real test for Carl. Page is a tough veteran who has been in some close, hard fought fights with some of the best prospects in boxing.

Carl’s made a big name for himself in Chicago with his quick knockouts that our fans love, but no one has done that to Page yet.”

Carl Davis vs. Zack Page, ten rounds, heavyweights
