Kenshiro and Gonzalez to unify three belts on April 8  – World Boxing Association

Kenshiro Teraji’s first appearance as unified light flyweight champion will be on April 8 at the Ariake Arena, in Koto-Ku, Japan, and he will do it against another world champion in Jonathan Gonzalez.

The Japanese will make the first defense of his recently won World Boxing Association (WBA) crown and will also put his WBC belt in dispute against the Puerto Rican WBO champion.

Teraji is coming off a great performance against former WBA champion Hiroto Kyoguchi last November. He won the black and gold belt after a seven round knockout. Now, with two belts in his possession, he wants a third.

However, the owner of that belt is Gonzalez, a Puerto Rican southpaw with a great boxing and who is in the third defense of his belt. He comes from beating undefeated Shokichi Iwata at the Super Arena, Saitama, and wants to take it all home in this big fight.

Teraji has 20 wins, 1 loss and 12 knockouts, while Gonzalez has 27 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw and 14 wins under the belt.
