Former IBF President Robert Lee passed away  – World Boxing Association

The World Boxing Association (WBA) mourns the passing of former IBF President Robert Lee on Monday, March 25. 

Mr. Lee had a long career in the sport in various positions both domestically and in international organizations. 

He served for many years as Deputy Athletic Commissioner of New Jersey and is credited with many of New Jersey’s achievements in promoting boxing and the growth of the sport in the area. 

Lee served as Vice President of the WBA in the early 1980’s, and later served as President of the IBF. Lee also had a long career in different organizations as a member of their Board of Directors.  

The pioneer organization sends condolences to the Lee family and friends. May he rest in Peace.
