  • Cruiser Kennedy Tunes Up In Bristol Before British Title Shot

    Unbeaten cruiserweight contender Craig ‘The Kid’ Kennedy will box in an eight-rounder on November 14 at Bristol’s City Academy as part of the huge “Bang Bang: Blackwell vs. Matthews” undercard, Hennessy Sports and Sanigar Events are pleased to announce.

  • Super Welter Champ Charlo Defends Against Campfort In Dallas

    Super welterweight world champion Jermall Charlo (22-0, 17 KOs) will defend his title in his home state against “Silky” Wilky Campfort (21-1, 12 KOs) as Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on NBC comes to The Bomb Factory in Dallas, Saturday, November 28. Televised coverage begins at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT.

  • Bristol Fan Favourite Dan Sarkozi Has British Title Hopes

    Bristol-born light-middleweight Dan Sarkozi is yet to box outside his home city as a professional and hopes that one day he will be able to reward his loyal supporters with a British title.

    The 26-year-old’s sixth professional outing takes place on November 14 at Bristol’s City Academy and, though he’s happy to take it one step at a time, his goal remains the same as it was back when he turned pro in November 2013 – win that British title. (more…)

  • Jermell Charlo Vows To Stop Alcine Saturday In Houston

    Before the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on NBCSNfight card this Saturday, some of the fighters hosted a media workout at Charlo Brothers Boxing Academy. The card will feature a main event showcasing undefeated rising star Jermell “Iron Man” Charlo (26-0, 11 KOs) out of Houston, Texas, taking on former world champion Joachim Alcine (35-7-2, 21 KOs).

    Televised coverage will begin at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT with the hard-hitting Tony Harrison (21-1, 18 KOs) taking on Cecil McCalla (20-2, 7 KOs).

  • Caballero vs. Haskins IBF Title Clash November 21 Las Vegas

    Making the first defense of his IBF Bantamweight Title, Randy “El Matador” Caballero (22-0, 13 KOs) will headline the preliminary undercard of the Miguel Cotto vs. Canelo Alvarez event on Saturday, November 21 as he faces off against Bristol’s Lee Haskins (32-3, 14 KOs) at The Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

    The 12-round world championship bout will be available to view digitally on HBO Boxing’s YouTube Page, Tidal.com and GoldenBoyPromotions.com.

    Former world champion and Long Island-native Chris Algieri (20-2, 8 KOs) returns to Barclays Center in Brooklyn to take on Ecuador’s Erick Bone (16-2, 8 KOs) in a 10-round welterweight bout on Saturday, Dec. 5.

    The Algieri vs. Bone fight is promoted by DiBella Entertainment in association with Star Boxing and will be part of a stacked undercard featuring top regional talent that will be announced in its entirety soon.     Two-division world champion Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley Jr and his new trainer Teddy Atlas hosted their first-ever Media Workout today at the Tim Bradley Boxing Gym in Indio, Calif.

    Bradley (32-1-1, 12 KOs), of Palm Springs, Calif., is 10 days away from for his WBO welterweight title defense against former world champion Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios (33-2-1, 23 KOs), of Oxnard, Calif. Coincidentally, both Bradley and Rios have fought in Fights of the Year in 2013 and 2012, respectively.

  • Midlands Bantam Champ Ashley Lane Aims For British Crown

    Midlands Area bantamweight champion Ashley Lane hasn’t had it easy so far in his four-and-a-half-year professional career, but has rebounded from set-backs, learnt from defeats and now has sights set on winning the British title in 2016.

    The 25-year-old, originally from Northampton, boxes in Bristol, his adopted home city, on November 14 and is keen to use the performance to put him in the mix for more domestic title shots.

    “I’ve got some big ambitions and a big future ahead of me,” he said. “This time next year I’d like to be British champion. I lost in an English title fight against Ryan Farrag, which was probably the worst performance of my career, and I’d love to get another shot at that belt early next year. After that, I’ll be looking to get my hands on the British title. (more…)
