  • Tickets Still Available For Haskins vs. Iwasa IBF Title Bout

    Tickets are still available for Lee Haskin’s World Title fight at the Action Indoor Sports Arena in Whitchurch, Bristol, England on June 13.

    Bristol’s Haskins will get his long overdue shot at the world bantamweight championship when he boxes for the vacant IBF Interim Title against Japan’s Ryosuke Iwasa.

    Iwasa is a 25-year-old southpaw from Chiba, Japan with a professional record of 19-1 (12 KOs). Iwasa was formerly the Japanese bantamweight champion and is currently ranked at number three in the world according to the IBF. (more…)

  • Garrett Wilson vs. Anthony Caputo Smith for PA Cruiser Title

    On Saturday night, June 20, King’s Boxing will present a championship night of boxing at the Valley Forge Casino Resort.

    In the main event, Garrett “The Ultimate Warrior” Wilson will take on Anthony Caputo Smith in a 10-round battle for the Pennsylvania Cruiserweight championship.

    Wilson of Philadelphia has a record of 13-9-1 with 7 knockouts and has lived up to his nickname as he is willing to fight anybody at anytime. He has fought seven undefeated fighters and countless contenders. (more…)

  • Ajisafe Lands Commonwealth Title Shot Against Wanyonyi

    Yorkshireman Bob Ajisafe will compete for the vacant Commonwealth Light-heavyweight Title against Kenya’s Daniel Wanyonyi on June 13 in Bristol.

    The fight will act as chief support to Lee Haskins’ IBF Interim Bantamweight Title clash with Ryosuke Iwasa and takes place over a scheduled twelve rounds. It will be televised on Channel 5.

    Twenty-six-year-old Wanyonyi is based in Nairobi, Kenya and boasts a professional record of 21-6-2 (17 KOs). Known for his punch power and exciting style, Wanyonyi recovered from a patchy start to his eight-year professional career to win the Kenyan title and the African Boxing Union title. (more…)

  • Breazeale vs. Consuegra Added To June 6 PBC On NBC

    2012 U.S. Olympian Dominic “Trouble” Breazeale (14-0, 13 KOs) battles Yasmany Consuegra (17-0, 14 KOs) in an explosive matchup between two undefeated heavyweights that will kick off the Premier Boxing Champions on NBC telecast Saturday, June 6, from StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., with televised coverage beginning at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT.

    This eight round heavyweight attraction will support the afternoon’s main event, which pits former four-division world champion Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero (32-3-1, 18 KOs) against Aron Martinez (19-3-1, 14 KOs). Also featured on the card is the 12-round featherweight showdown between Jesus Cuellar (26-1, 20 KOs) and Vic Darchinyan (40-7-1, 29 KOs). (more…)

  • “Fight Night” Series Gets Off To Rocking Start In Danbury

    Prospect Tramaine Williams capped off a great night of boxing with a sixth round stoppage over Josh Bowles in the final scheduled round of their Featherweight bout at the Danbury Arena last night in Danbury, CT.

    The show was the inaugural Danbury Fight Night promoted by Prize Promotions.

    The main event saw Williams show his quick hand speed to outpoint Bowles for most of the fight. In the final round, Williams landed a booming straight left that sent Bowles down hard on his back. (more…)

  • Roy Jones Jr Boxing Promotions Signs New TV Deal

    Three-time World Champion, Joseph Agbeko, 29-5 (22 KOs) from Accra, Ghana will return to the ring for the first time in over 13 months to square off against Philippines’ Juanito Rubillar, ex-WBC Continental Americas Light Flyweight Champion, 49-22-7 (24 KOs) in the main event of the card called “The Return”, on Saturday May 30 at El Paso Memorial Coliseum in El Paso, Texas.

    The fight is scheduled for 10 rounds in the super bantamweight division.

    The Agbeko vs. Rubillar battle will be the first of the monthly series in a one year broadcast agreement with LATV Netwoks. (more…)

  • “The Ghost” Guerrero Ready For Martinez Clash On NBC

    Former two-division world champion, “Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero (32-3-1, 18 KOs) hosted a media workout yesterday at the CrossFit Ranch to shed light on his upcoming fight with Aron Martinez.

    The 10-round main-event bout will take place at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., June 6, 2015 and will air live on NBC starting at 3:00 p.m. ET/12:00 p.m. PT.

    Guerrero, who won the hearts of America with his gut wrenching performance against Keith Thurman in his last fight, is looking forward to another main-event attraction where he can showcase his entertaining fighting style to the fans. (more…)

    Former four-division world champion and Mexican boxing icon Erik “El Terrible” Morales is the new trainer for undefeated WBA super lightweight champion Jessie Vargas.

    I’ve just had the whole weekend off to rest and let my body heal – it felt good. It always does, in fact. All my weekends have felt good lately. But then I hit it hard on the Monday and the pain begins all over again.

    Ahead of my fight on June 13 against Ryosuke Iwasa, I’ve obviously been sparring quite a few southpaws of late. They’re all very tough and they’re all taller than me. They’re quite awkward – they have a longer reach than me and try to keep me off them. (more…)

  • Blackwell Switches Trainers, Working Now With Gary Lockett

    For the last two months I’ve been based in Cardiff, training with Gary Lockett, and adding more and more strings to my bow ahead of my British title fight this Saturday, May 30 with John Ryder.

    To begin with I was there sparring two times a week and, while there, Gary would be pointing a few things out to me that were really working. So one morning I thought, you know what, I need to be there full-time. What Gary was telling me was helping me and I was learning from it. (more…)

  • Local Light Heavy Gonsalves Added To August 8 Hyannis Show

    Harwich, Massachusetts Light-Heavyweight Paul Gonsalves (7-7-1, 3 KO’s) will meet tough Mexican veteran Rafael Valenzuela (8-5, 1 KO) in an eight-round co-feature Saturday, August 8 at the Hyannis Youth & Community Center (HYCC) in Hyannis, MA.

    This is in addition to the previously announced main event featuring Jesse Barboza (9-1-1) versus Jesse Oltmanns (10-5) in an eight-round fight for the Northeast Heavyweight Title.

    “A lot of times folks can’t make the trip and see me fight”, said Gonsalves, who has recently fought in locations such as New York, Chicago and Connecticut, “but with the fight being in Hyannis, I know I’ll have tons of crowd support.   • Prospect Boxing Return To Fauldhouse Miners Welfare

    After a successful show on February 27 at the Fauldhouse Miners Welfare in Fauldhouse, Scotland, Prospect Boxing are making a return to the local venue with a four fight card on June 5.

    The February 27 bill marked the first professional Boxing card in the West Lothian town’s history, and sold out the popular venue.

    Headlining the card is local fan favourite Sean Watson, (4-2-1), who in the last fight in the venue picked up the British Masters title with a points shut out of Jonathan Fry, while Martin Taylor, who made his debut on the previous Fauldhouse Miners show in February, also returns in his second professional start.
