Shadasia Green knocked out Cederroos – World Boxing Association

American Shadasia Green proved she is a threat at super middleweight and knocked out former world champion Elin Cederroos in the sixth round to become the new World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental Americas champion at 168 pounds.

A devastating performance against a big opponent was confirmation that Green is for big things and would be a candidate for a world title fight in the short term.

Green knocked down Cederroos in the third round to give a first warning of her power and knew how to handle all the rounds with good exchanges to end up forcing the referee to stop the actions in the sixth round.

Green remains undefeated after 12 fights, 11 of them won by knockout. Cederroos now has 8 wins, 2 losses and 4 knockouts.

Cederroos vs Green with WBA-Continental Americas title on the line  – World Boxing Association

Former world champion Elin Cederroos and the undefeated Shadasia Green will fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental Americas title this Saturday at the Madison Square Garden in New York.

The bout will be part of the event that will feature Erika Cruz and Amanda Serrano fighting for the undisputed featherweight championship as the main event.

It will be the comeback fight for the Swedish Cederroos, who is coming off the loss of her WBA title and her undefeated record to Franchon Crews-Dezurn in April last year. The European will have a great opportunity to get back to winning ways in a big venue and has worked hard to take advantage of it.

The 33-year-old American Green, who is five years younger than her opponent, is one of the most buzzed about fighters in the division. She has a good knockout capacity and comes into the fight with eight in a row, which shows the great moment she is living.

The fight promises to be even and full of action due to the style of both fighters and will be in the middle of an evening that is very important for women’s boxing due to the prominence that women will have this Saturday at Madison Square Garden.

Cederroos has 8 wins, 1 loss and 4 knockouts, while Green is undefeated in 11 fights, 10 of them won by knockout.
