Thread: One armed boxing?

Anyone who read the other topic I psoted will know that I am missing my right forearm, and I wear a prosthesis. I was wondering if I can spar with it, does anyone know of a boxer at any time in my position? I dont use a gym so I can't ask a trainer, or is there anything in the rules about it? Any help would be appreciated!

Sorry mate, I couldn't dig up anything of the likes, in regard to the rulebook... but I remember hearing about an English boxer kinda in your boat, he had a prothetic leg instead, and used to get beat on bad by some so called hard-ass swaggers. He felt real pathetic, his girlfriend would stick up for him making him feel even more helpless. He wanted to do everything to make things right, he started going to a boxing gym, and let just say "He worked his ass off!" Set backs did not stop him from setting out to do what he aiming for. He worked real hard, people would underestimate him when they spared him, but this guy had balls, and alot and got the well anticipated respect, even those Yobos from the past payed their dues.

It's been a while since I can recall it, about a year or two I read about'em in a boxing forum like this site, it just goes to show you how a "never-say-die" can turn hell into heaven.

I don't know any of the boxing restrictions, I don't think they even have that in the Olympics for prothetics...
But I remember a video game from the old Nintendo (NES) it was called Bionic Commando, this had A cammando with a Bionic Freak'n arm. His arm instead of holding him back acted like some extreme extension, like some Inspector Gadget Grappling Shat (Talk about handy). Anyways the Bionic Commando kicked MAJOR ASS! and You too can kick MAJOR ASS!, and when you do, tell us how you kicked MAJOR ASS!

Some tips-
Make sure your prostitute can take a beating, theres are no wrists in boxing, make sure this applies to your bionic arm.
Apart from shadowboxing, you should do focus-mitts drills with a partner, this will take coordination from him to, make sure he throws punches while you hit the targets.

If you have any questions, just throw them at us. I'll help whenever I get the chance. I'm starting a heavy paper on developing a knockout punch, (I'll make sure to include everything)

Just keep throwing your punches, and we'll catch you when we can. Don't forget to Kick MAJOR ASS!

I watched a sports story about a high school wrestler that had no limbs past his elbows and knees. He was born that way some sort of genetic defect. While he wasnt largely successful he made it through high school with more wins then losses, and even managed to nab a couple of pins. If this is what you want to do go for it man. Who says there cant be a one armed boxer

I've never heard of any boxers with prothsthetics (forgive the spelling, it's late at night where I'm at), but I'm sure it can be done. Give it your best.

prostitute/prosthetic, my cruel play of words. Just say'n you should make sure your prosthetic arm can take all impact boxing has to offer.
