    Default Question about Khan

As this is the first boxing forum Ive signed up to I thought Id ask a question about Amir Khan.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that Mario Kindelan ( the guy who beat Khan in the Olympics) was paid off to lose the rematch against Khan before he went pro?

I know he is prolly a proud fighter, but what did he have to lose?

IMO he easily beat Khan when it mattered, is it possible that Frank Warren slipped him a backhander to give his new cash cow a good start going into the pro's?

No. Khan beat him fair and square.

Kindelan was 34 when he lost to Con. Con beat an old Kindelan. And even than he only beat him by a couple of points.

A guy who came to my college for a lecture on analysing sports with video worked with kahn at the olympics and he told me kahn kept getting caugt with kindelens right hand, he said that was a deciding factor in the fight, But in the rematch he never threw it. He suspected fowl play, But the cubans are really proud of their sports and im not sure about a pay off i agree kahn beat an old kindellan. Just.
A right hand can take you round the block, A jab round the world.

kindelan may have been 34 but Kahn was about 19 so you could say age played a factor on his part as well...

I think Khan was 17 at the time of the fight, it is possible that it was rigged, although i don't know what there was for khan to gain avenging the defeat in terms of marketing, i don't think it was that important

Kindelan didn't have the same preparation for the second fight as he did for the Olympics, he didn't look as sharp, or as fit, Khan on the other hand was already training full time getting ready to turn pro, it would have been a lot more interesting if the Kinderlan that fought Khan in the Olympics fought that fight after Khan had obviously improved.

Also all the traveling would have taken a bit out of him, he was traveling around all over the place, not to mention the initial trip over. There wasn't the same incentive for him to win the fight either. Whereas Khan went in with something to prove.
