Well, I can't say that I loved it. It really played out like a Michael Bay film. There were constant explosions for no real reason. I wouldn't say I hated it either, very much a summer action movie though.

For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
I honestly lost interest in the series following T2. The third one was on tv the other day and I found it to be pretty mediocre from what I saw.
Oh fuckin hell I was hoping it was gonna cut deep and actually tell a decent story rather than follow the Fast and furious lets make noise and smash things brainless wank type shit that clogs up the cinema !
I watched the Wolverine the other day instead of making a decent film they just threw money at stunts and special effects yet a decent scriptwriter could have done tons more with the backstory !
Loook at Usual suspects , suspense all the way and yet it cost a pittance!
You get all these big budget blockbusters where the stunts try to be bigger and bolder than the last time when all people want is some grittiness and plot something they can chew on rather than just sit in a coma and be immpressed by some computer generated tosh !
yo killersheep nooooooooooo dont say its so
i was so looking forward to it, did u see it @ the cinema?
just checked IMDB site & it got 7.5/10 rating, i always use that site to check on movies, & thats from over 11,000 voters.
Terminator Salvation (2009)
It's not like it was horrible, but if you were trying to delve deeper into the story you will come up a little short there.
If you do watch it you will see that McG took some creative license with the story, changed things up a lot. Not
minor details either.
There were some specific points. I'd like to discuss with people that have seen the movie.
It's getting frizzle fried on rotten tomatoes,

I also went to see Star Trek this morning, I thought it was very good. Always been a member of the Star Trek is cheesy camp. But, I thought the pacing, character interaction, and action sequences were well balanced. Very impressed with that one.

I hope they stop making them.
The first film was quality, no CGI shit was needed to make that film great, the actors and the plot did wonders and I loved the B movie feel of it all.
I'll catch this if I see a download or when it gets on telly.
Got to agree with sheep on this one, disapointed with the movie, not terrible but far from great. The story is kind of lame and all over the place needed more focus and coherency, and some of the acting is just terrible actually...
The first was dark and close to being a horror film. The second one took the series in the wrong direction in my opinion. T2 and Rise Of The Machines, like Killersheep alluded to with the explosions comment, were both action films.
Horror film exactly !
Why is everything aimed at the 16-25 market what about people who want to see some depth ?
Rise of the machnes was not great it was not in the Terminaitor mould though ,as action films go it was clever and a good spectacle .
I was really hoping this could turn it around and get deep and dark instead of being just another summer big money flop , I'm gutted .

This trailer pretty much sums it up.

I heard Bale uses that stupid Batman voice again, yawn, that's why I still haven't seen the Dark Knight.
Was gonna make a thread, but i see you already beat me too it by over a month. I loved The Terminator it used to be my favorite, film as a little kid and i still love it.
I used to like the 2nd one better, but now i appreciate the 1st one more now. Because its darker, better acting, ETC.
I still like the 2nd one but after watching them both again, the 2nd one feels too much like a hero movie aimed at young teenagers. Where as the 1st one is violent, very dark, and the atomsphere of it at night, is just really special.
Terminator Salvation sucked and its nothing like the future IMO, that James Cameron had in mind, it just doesn't even feel like a Terminator movie to me. Atleast the 3rd one although it wern't much better, had atleast The Terminator feel to it.
The Terminator 10/10
The Terminator 2 9/10
The Terminator 3 6/10
The Terminator 4 4/10
