My upcoming vacation (holiday in uk-speak)

I'm taking a road trip starting this evening. My destinations are as follows

Mountainaire, AZ
Moab, UT
Palisade, CO
Estes Park, CO
Cheyenne, WY
Denver, CO
Santa Fe, NM
Flagstaff, AZ

I'll try to put some pictures on here as I'm going.

I guess you will be travelling along the old Route 66 for at least part of the way? Plenty of American folklore associated with that route.

Yeah, I'm really excited round trip will be about 2,100 miles (3300 km)
definately the longest I'll have gone in a car in my life.

We will be on route 66 for a little bit on the home stretch, we will be crossing over it on the way up.

Killersheep,
I can imagine the nice views you will be enjoying on the road. Stopping at small towns to grab something to eat. Stopping again for a snack, etc. It's awesome.

I recently came back from a road trip from San Diego, California, USA, to Bodie ghost town. It was around 7 or 8 hours on the road. Awesome views on our way there. We had an ice box with bunch of drinks and snacks. What a trip!

Will you camp or stay in hotels?

when i was 14 i got a shitty family vacation in cornwall and a school trip to france on a ferry that can only be described as "turbulent" hence the fact half the kids on the trip spent the tour puking and shitting.
