Thread: What Dirrel does that i hate.

Hate might be strong word. Dirrel does this thing where when he's in the corner or about to be cornered on the ropes he raises his hand above his head and slides out. He kinda sucks his waist in when he does it to keep his opponet from reaching his body. It'a not the worst move in the world but in his fight against froch he was doing it a little bit to much and froch caught on and almost caught his ass. What does Dirrel thing he's playing tag or touch football. Protect ya damn chin.

Froch is far uglier a boxer than Dirrell, holding and hitting blatantly, and he didnt get a warning. Hitting behind the head every tie up. The dude is a dirty fighter, he got away with alot and Dirrell got deducted and warned left and right. Would love to see the punch numbers from that fight.

its not like dirrell fights like that every time out


he used to be real defensive, but he didnt want to end up being off TV because of it, so in his last few fights hes been real aggressive, and hes scored KOs with high offense, he just figured there was no reason to take risks in such a big fight, especially when he pretty much had no way of being taken off TV for at least 4 fights as long as he was winning, and by that point he would have had a belt

dirrell doubts his chin because he was hurt not too long ago, and froch was so awful at cutting off a 20 foot ring it took him until like the 11th round to actually force dirrell to fight frotch off of him, and at that point he seemed to realize he would win exchanges, thats when he started pressing froch (tho it may have also been the point deduction that caused him to fight like that)



his next fight will be interesting tho, cuz abraham should be able to cut off the ring a few times, they are gonna be using a 20 foot ring for every fight in this tournament

That rope sliding crap is how he got caught against Rocha, and he got flattened. Odds are that he'll get flattened again, when he comes up against someone who can actually cut the ring off successfully with power and control rather than froch sending postcards before throwing a hook...

I thought it looked well amateurish at first but it seemed to pay off dividends against Froch because it did get him out of sticky situations. Against a more intelligent or quicker fighter I'm sure it wouldn't be as effective.

I hate his name... Dirrel...

Have you actually ever seen froch fight a 12rounder before? he comes to fight, he throws his shots, he takes his shots.

Watch the pascal, taylor fights then watch andre dirrells entire career set including the night he stunk out HBO to the point of them vowing never to show him again unless he made it big time ala: bernard hopkins!
