Saw this over Christmas and WOW

Not usually a fan of films like this but visually it is mind blowing and you def need to see it on the big screen.

Go see it if you haven't yet ... i hear it's smashed the $1 billion mark worldwide already which beats the previous winner Titanic.

Though my drink had been spiked, really is a trip this film!!

I'm going to see it this afternoon in IMAX 3D. I tried to see it over the Holidays but the whole parking lot was filled, and all of the good tickets were sold out.

Yes - 3D special effects were fantastic, and it was the most immersive movie experience Ive ever had .... this is the future of the industry.

The script was shit though ..... really one dimensional and stereotypican characters spouting simplified speeches at each other. Typical Cameron poor characterisation.

I heard that this was another Dances with Wolves sort of story line but with more CGI and special effects and the setting is in the future.

It will be be amazing visually in IMAX. Just in the regular theater stuff was floating inches from my nose and flying past my head.

I haven't even seen it but I can already tell you it's "Dances With Wolves"/"The Last Samuri" but it cost like quadruple the money to make.

Part 1: I'm the lead male character, a good guy fighting against the blue freaky aliens but I am sent in undercover to gain their trust and find out their secrets

Part 2: The blue freaky aliens accept me in their world and I fall in love with their princess and endup loving their way of living and totally understanding and respecting their society and I begin to view the humans as the evil ones.

Part 3: The blue aliens find out I have been betraying them and banish me and the humans think I've gone soft and demand I kill the aliens.

Part 4: Having been banished by the blue aliens I renew my fight against the blue aliens but the blue people lose a martyr (a leader/older character maybe a father or something, a rival who was fighting for the love of the lead lady, the lead lady's brother, someone like that) and the Princess/love intrest being in grave danger causes me to change my mind about the entire situation and I single handedly end the war and live happily ever after with the blue people OR get my people to leave their world either way it's going to make little b*tches like smashup tear up at the end

So do I have a rough idea of the film

That's the gist of it. Hollywood is running out of ideas. Hey guys let's just have poor story telling and characterization and rehash some of the stories we had in the past and put on 150 million dollars of expensive special effects. Yeah that's it! We'll get the masses that way!

This may sound crazy but Hollywood was more creative back when the Hays code was in effect, where a lot of stuff was censored. Hollywood had to be really creative to make a good movie.

Basically i ride around the forum on a scooter with a Parka jacket on listening to the Who.

I finally got around to seeing Avatar.

It's a good film. And a great theater experience. I saw it imax 3d and it looks amazing.

Lots of small details and you can tell a lot of effort went into the film.

Def go see it in theaters if you dont sit alone online all day
