Thread: Boardwalk Empire.

Really enjoyed this show, i loved the era and the look of the show. And of course i love the gangster genre, this could be as big as The Sopranos.

I'm watching it right now lol. Yeah it's a great show.I like how they've got a young Al Capone in there, I wonder if there actually true to his real story. Funny thing is he's not even the main character in it. The sopranos will take some beating tho as it's my all time fav.

This series is kind of like the Rome series, its semi-historically accurate. Capone cut his teeth in NY under Frankie Yale and moved to Chicago and eventually ran that town.

I still haven't seen all of The Sopranos, i just downloaded The Sopranos series 5 and im watching it right now.

As for Boardwalk Empire as Lyle said, there's semi truth to it. But quite alot of it is fiction, but you know the black guy in it ? he's based on famous boxer called Chalky Wright.

I enjoy the show and I like how Steve is finally getting some cool credit. Shows like these are some of the last dialogue skits going, since everyone is going to action/superbig movies.

Its funny to me that the guy who plays Capone just got done playing Baby Face Nelson in 'Public Enemies'

As for the sopranos, uve got to watch it all mate. To any one who reads this, I really recommend watching the sopranos, it's got the be the best tv series ever made. Incredible show.

I think boardwalk empire can go in that direction.I can really see it kicking up a notch or two in the coming episodes. U no anything Scorsese puts his name too is gonna be class.

I think television reached it's absolute peak with the recent showing of the Spartacus prequel, Gods of the Arena.

I'm not sure it would be possible to make a show more awesome than that was. Gannicus is now officially my hero for now and all times.
