Surprised Macklin hasn't signed, wonder why he hasn't? Lets hope he does. I can't be bothered watching Sturm fighting another tomato can!

Maybe they want better terms, or are trying to find a way to make the fight happen in another country?
Sturm made it clear a rematch would have to be in Germany and I don't see him ever leaving Germany unless he was fighting for a HBO unification fight. Macklin lost the fight and because of that how can he shout the odds on the fight? He was the challenger anyway in the first place. He should be thankful Sturm has offered him a rematch, I hope he steps up.
Definitely lucky that Sturm is a man of his word and has given him an immediate rematch. Macklin should be biting his arm off for this, life changing money and the opportunity of a lifetime again.
I don't see what Macklin could do differently next time but he definitely has a chance of winning and don't see what else there is for him. If Barker did the unimaginable and beat Martinez there is a big fight for Macklin there but can't pass up chance against Sturm for that.
Take the fight Macklin.
Sturm did very little in the fight other than pick his hands up and fired shots late. Macklin would have got the decision anywhere else in the world. Macklin will take the fight but needs to protest loud enough that he does not get ripped off again.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I thought Macklin won the first fight.
First fight was controversial.
If I am Macklin I sign and then go win the fight by a wider margin and make them completely rob me. If they do, they do. Boxing fans can watch a fight and know who really won it!
I don't think it much matters where the fight is this time, sturm will win a clear decision this go round. He was awefully lazy first few rounds, and he always seems to do better in rematches. Macklin shouted for a rematch, sturm said he'd give him one, sign on the line.
Maybe this is why Macklin is cautious about fighting him again away from home

Not quite sure what's happening here.
Macklin just signed with Lou DiBella (Martinez promoter).
So forget all about Sturm. Martinez can't fill a phone booth but against an "Irish" guy at MSG he might.
Macklin-Martinez after the Barker fight.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
That's exactly what's happening. The only other angle I could think of is that Dibella now holds two middleweights that were potential opponents for Sturm. He could use them as options when he negotiates for either one against Sturm. Also, from what I read Macklin said, the offer for a rematch against Sturm was the exact same offer he received for the first fight, and that isn't fair, honestly.
Was there ever any talks of Sturm vs Martinez?
