Who is he fighting?
Grant hasn't been horrible recently, he's done ok so long as he hasn't had to fight B or better fighters
Michael Grant vs. Carlos Takam this Friday, May 24th in Seine-Saint-Denis, France
He's been inactive for a year and a half, which is par for the course for a lot of heavyweight prospect wannabes nowadays. If he wins impressively, I wonder whether his name will be added to the list of contenders for the real titles.
He's been in fights where he could have won that ever elusive "contender" status....had he beaten Dominick Guinn lo those many years ago he could have moved up quite nicely same with Jameel McCline.
In all honesty, given what a train wreck his career was right after the time he got demolished by Lennox Lewis I think Michael Grant has done quite well to come back and be as successful as he has been. He hasn't beaten anyone too terribly special, but he's a big guy and if he's fighting then you're probably going to see a KO one way or the other.
Didn't he lies a close decision to Adamek?
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I'll take Grant over Fraudley Harrison any day of the week.
