He didn't get it all right. I disagree with some of his decisions, particularly his war on drugs. But goddamn, what a president!

I did not like him and Thatcher. They were everything that was wrong in the 1980's.

Deliberately weakened the dollar. Actually created a policy to weaken the currency.

Reagan's administration proposed all the budgets, including creation of an entirely new government department. The administration draws up the yearly budget and sends it to congress. Congress add on their own earmark spending and then pass it. That's how the political system works.
