His first at fight at 147 and he destroys the Q.
His first fight at 147 and he destroys the Q.
War Cotto!
I wont go as far as dissing PBF but I would like to see this match between Cotto and Floyd. Floyd and Cotto are the top dogs and the fight should be made and I think most of you know this.
Cotto has to get by Gomez first ;D
Oh MY!
:o
No more talks about Floyd vs Maragarito or Floyd vs Williams.
Cotto is the fight that should be made.
;)
Re: His first at fight at 147 and he destroys the Q.
Cotto definitely looks even better after Quintana's performance tonight. No doubt about it.

I agree. Cotto's win over Quintana looks even more impressive than before
Re: His first at fight at 147 and he destroys the Q.
yeah Cotto PBF needs to happen. I'm not mad that Cotto is taking should be easy fight against gomez. I think he deserves it. One thing i like about cotto is he fights often.

I think it's obvious what Arum is trying to set up and that's Margartio vs Cotto. PBF doesn't want much to do with Cotto right now.
Re: His first at fight at 147 and he destroys the Q.
I don't think it changes anything regarding Cotto's chances of beating Floyd though.
Cotto beat Quintana because he couldn't take those vicious bodyshots.
Williams didn't have such a punch (or any punch) in his arsenal.
Great win for Quintana to beat Williams, he's certainly very slick but I feel he is vunurable against the big hitters.

Julio was a pretty big hitter, but Julio could never hit Quintana. Quintana is vunerable against a big hitter who knows how to box.
Re: His first at fight at 147 and he destroys the Q.
well i think that Quintana is technically the better BOXER out of the two, just Cotto has the gift to be able to impose his will on you

Quintana is the slicker boxer, but he's not a better technical boxer. Cotto has better classic boxing technique than Quintana. Quintana is slick, smart, and has a bit of an awkward style. People often mistake slick style boxers for having better technique than guys who come straight at you. Cotto is an excellent technical boxer.
Re: His first at fight at 147 and he destroys the Q.
Actually, I re-watched that Cotto-Quintana fight after the Williams fight. And I have to say that Quintana was basically outboxing and landing some good shots on Cotto for four rounds but then Cotto got to his body and he quit on his stool. Quintana is a great boxer but his lack of stamina and maybe his lack of heart is his downfall.

;) Im certainly agree with you and if we see again the P.W.vs C.Q. fight you will see that Quintana tried fight Cotto as the same strategie with a lot of movement at side to side, etc. , but the only difference that he came in agressive in the first of 4 and 5 round and took the lead of the fight. After all for me Quintana dont have nothing to get with Cotto , just a Big Purse in one fight.........;D

Cotto is a good technical boxer and pressure fighter but he as well is so damns good at cutting the ring and making the opponent fight his fight, That was the difference between Williams and Cotto (HUGE)
