Taylor-Lacy: All or nothing !!!
"This fight could not be more important for these two fighters," said Lou DiBella, promoter of the November 15th clash in Nashville, Tennessee between former champions Jermain Taylor (27-2-1, 17 KOs) and Jeff Lacy (24-1, 17 KOs). "One of these guys is probably going to get knocked out, and the one who gets knocked out is probably going to have a really difficult time coming back to do anything significant in this sport. This fight really is all or nothing." The bout has been certified a WBC super middleweight eliminator, which means the winner will be guaranteed a title shot against the winner of the Carl Froch-Jean Pascal bout for the WBC belt.

You can sure say that again.. Crazy to think a few years ago these 2 were highly touted stars, now there both struggling and in a crossroads fight. :-\

Yeah its a crossroads fight, but its not like the looser will be gone for good...I mean Lacy only lost to Calzaghe...no shame there...and Taylor twice to Pavlik...also no shame there...the looser of the fight may take a step back in line, but nothing more...
Re: Taylor-Lacy: All or nothing !!!
its gonna be a good fight but ima give it to Taylor because hes the better boxer and Lacy to me lost his last fight on FNF, and plus Jermain is on my Fantasy Boxing League;D
Re: Taylor-Lacy: All or nothing !!!
Taylor wins this fight easily, maybe even stops Lacy.
Re: Taylor-Lacy: All or nothing !!!
I think it will be a tough bout.
Nothing worse than a fight where two guys have zero confidence. Will either be a stinker or a war.
I favour Taylor he is the better fighter but Lacy still has superb one punch power.
I think interesting is the the word for this one.
Re: Taylor-Lacy: All or nothing !!!
I think Taylor wins this match maybe even by KO.

Taylor by early KO or dominating decision.
Re: Taylor-Lacy: All or nothing !!!
Gotta root for the hometown hero (Taylor doesn't live to far from me; helluva nice guy by the way)...
Taylor all the way... would like to see Taylor take the division. Taylor v Calzaghe wouldn't be a bad fight...

Please explain further... he couldnt stop Spinks or Ouma who are both natural Welterweights, also he couldnt finish Pavlik when he had him out of there. Look at his % he is far from a KO fighter for about 3 years, let alone a fight where he is moving up to take someone else on that has fought his career at that weight
Re: Taylor-Lacy: All or nothing !!!
Jermain Taylor wins this hands down even though he lost to Kelly Pavlik twice, you saw his best boxing abilities, and his best brawling abilities in both fights. Jermain Talor fought the best in those 2 championship fights, better than he had in any other of his championship fights.
I never really thought Jeff Lacy was that good of a fighter personally, but i do admire his courage and guts. But lets bet honest here he was almost KO'ed by a bum in his last fight, and has been struggling with the likes of Peter Manfredo.
I have gave Jeff Lacy two chances to show me something but he hasn't shown me anything, except for heart and guts but he has always had that. I think Jeff Lacy gets an embarrassing beating in this fight, but both fighters are good people outside the ring. So i wish both of em the best of luck in this fight im not rooting for anyone.

I guess you being an amatuer fighter things like injuries dont affect your career, let alone a torn rotator cuff.. I mean hell what do you need that for right??
Dont BS around either, you know damn well Mendoza is one dimensional, but that one dimension is 1 punch KO power, look at his % I think it speaks for itself.. Not to mention all the fouling he got away with
Re: Taylor-Lacy: All or nothing !!!
I respect JT sticking up for his boy, but he went to desperate places against Epi, he admitted that he tackled Mendoza intentionally in the post fight interview. He's got a punchers chance sure, but if Taylor can find his rhythm it's gonna be a rough night for Lacy, Taylor's got a brilliant jab which could foil Lacy's charge. On the flip side of the coin Taylor stands too tall a lot of times and that could make a relatively easy target for Lacy's signature punch.
My guess Taylor by decision 8 rounds to 4.

I appreciate your analysis Greg, because even though Lacy is my boy I agree with everything you said 100%
I just dont see Taylor stopping him

There are two cases to where the fight gets stopped in Taylors favor, if Lacy aggrevates his old injuries OR he gets frustrated and starts flailing like he did against Mendoza, Taylor has the skill to make him pay for wild agression.
Controlled agression is the key for Lacy, he has to keep active without bouncing in.
