Digital Pictures Question
I'm poor and cheap, so for Christmas I decided to give my family members some framed pictures that I have taken. I'm not half bad at it, so I figured it would be a nice, inexpensive gift.
However, I got a bunch of my pictures printed off at Blacks yesterday, in two different sizes (4x6, 5x7), and I noticed that they are seriously cropped, to the point where I am thinking of request my money back because they do not look as they should.
My question is, is this normal with digital pictures or did the people at the store make a mistake when printing them off for me?

Thats not right.
Even if you have to crop a picture you make sure you dont spoil it.
I have done a few courses in photoshop so I know a bit about digital pictures.
I would ask for my money back if i was you.

Somtimes they put it on auto and they dont know whats being cropped.

Thank you gentlemen. I shall head down to the store armed with this information. It really bummed me out, but hopefully it can be rectified.

While I understand its a volume buisness, cripes dude,I used to work for Guardian Photo Labs(fun thought,if you had something developed in 1989,there is every possibility I could have looked at it)and we were under strict orders when sorting to look for bad crops, and nudie shots.
And I should point out,the looking out for nudie shots wasnt what youd think,it was to make sure both participants were consenting adults. And trust me, half of the "models" in those pics, shouldnt have.:-X

Yeah, I would speak to the manager.. It's probably just some kid who thinks he's the cropping whiz and it just like,,, a little more,,, a little more,,, a little more, until there's almost nothing left...
If they don't have an asshole manager or are in a good mood or have good policies or whatever, they should be fine with reprinting them if you weren't happy with the originals... Just say i'm not a fussy person so I really wouldn't come back if it wasn't important to me... Who could say no to that?
