Wise beyond his years that one, fail the test again, use the "nobody's that stupid" argument, and they'll have to admit that the test was flawed (plus you get to be on meth the whole time, bonus)
Drugs or no drugs, NASCAR is a complete joke. They have made a mockery of organized sporting events.....and tried to pass off a WWF type event as racing. Nascar is just more corporate bullshit. France is an idiot.
NASCAR has hated Mayfield for a long time and consistently tried to write him off. He is a driving SOB. I remember one year he had to win a race to "make the chase" and he went out and one the race! He always did well when he had good equipment.

I never liked Mayfield even though he was from near where I lived in Owensboro, Kentucky. He was always regarded as thick, what an idiot and possibly a junkie! Hard to believe these things are just fabricated.

By the same token I saw a $10,000 to win late model show in Quincy Illinois for $20 entry and can safely say there was more action there than in an entire NASCAR schedule. I am talking real action: not fuel milage racing, not rain delays wins, not dragging a fuckking broadcast out 8 goddamn hours to see someone win. When a caution waved, it wasn't for "phanton debris" so Jr. wouldn't go down a lap....it was because a late model was on its lid.
The more bullshit question is why do they have drug testing to begin with? I would much rather be out there with a high as fuck Jeremy Mayfield than a sober Jon Woods/Paul Menard/Scott Speed/Buckshot Jones. Mayfield is a top driver and I hope he gets through this. I would have said fukk Nascar long ago though.
Then again Gasquet supposedly tested positive for cocaine by kissing a girl in a nightclub. Damn.

Thats why he has to take Joe Nemechek's qualfiying positions......and I am not talking about isolated incidents. The same Joe Nemechek that is a single car owner/driver with shit equipment. Scott Speed is an awful driver and i have no idea why the hell red Bull is behind him (other than his cool marketable name). Buying your way into races from an old man because you can't get your ass around a track is being "the man."
