That is a nice camera. About a year ago I bought my uncles old Nikon D50, and while I really like it, I'd like to upgrade to something newer at some point.

These are great shots...
By any chance did you enhance any of these pics or are they as taken meaning you've done nothing to them aside from adding the frame?
Amazing shots I thought Killersheeps and mine we're awesome yours blow ours out of the water...
Thank you for sharing really enjoyed the pics.
The camera I have is a Canon PowerShot SX10 IS.

Thanks man.
The first picture and the last two are HDR shots, which is a technique of taking three or more pictures of the same scene at different exposures. When you combine them in a program like Photomatix, it can provide a better representation of what the human eye saw, instead of the camera lens. As you probably know, if you are shooting into a sunny sky, you are usually left with either (A) a perfect representation of the sky, but dark and silhouetted trees, people, or whatever else happens to be in the foreground, or (B) the opposite. HDR corrects that by combining the exposure for each shot.
The rest of the images are pretty much untouched, except for some cropping, rotation etc...

Yeah love them, great work, post card quality, the Zoo would surely buy a wad of that first one, its a classic.
Re: Pictures from Dublin Zoo
Damn dude. Great pics. You have both a good camera and great eye to go with it. Look forward to seeing more. :)
Re: Pictures from Dublin Zoo
Very nice, you're taking some damn nice pictures with the shadows and lights, I have a Canon sxi personally and I am damn happy with it, wanted to go for the Tx1i but it was a bit expensive and I don't like to film (even in HD) so I went for a model lower but which damn satisfied me.

It cost 7,000 Hong Kong Dollars, which is around €700... which is about £630 I think. It's a Canon 450D, came with two lenses (one for close up and one for distance), 4GB memory card, carrying case and tripod. Hong Kong is cheap as hell for electronics though, so I'd expect to pay more over here on this side of the world.
One of the best investments I've ever made, photography gets really addictive when you get a camera like that. The 450D is only beginner to intermediate level though, I'd imagine the high end cameras are awesome to work with!
I'm going to be shooting a wedding in the beginning of February with it, should be fun and a good experience.
