Did anyone happen to find a link for the Poonsawat fight in Japan this past Monday?
What is your take on this fighter?
To me he seems strong, and his technique is ok, but his pressure is unbelievable. It reminds of the pressure Pac used at this weight to overrun the division. If he can direct it correctly, does he stand a chance against the top level fighters?
I really like the future prospects of Poonsawat, he absolutely pounded Dunne into submission after Dunne had his career defining performance against Cordoba. He could definately dominate with the remainders at 122 because all the threats are moving up to feather. He is not a master of precision, but he more than makes up for that with brutal pressure as you said.Quote:

This Poonsawat is like a little pitbull man! HBO or Showtime gotta get his ass on their shows.
Only seen a few of his fights on Youtube, but man what a fighter.
I don't think I've seen any more than highlights of his fights. Can someone PM me a link for the Dunne fight?

JuanMa is moving up to feather as well.
As long as Rigondeaux is at 122 he is the danger of the division, he is way too good against the type of fighter Poonsawat is, he would pick him apart with ease. Too fast, too good of a counter puncher.
I agree Rigondeaux has the ability to beat Poonsawat, but it's a matter of handlers, and who are they going to put Rigondeaux with now? The only reason to step up his competition level is to get a name on his resume and although Poonsawat deserves it, he doesn't have it yet.Quote:

Whats the attraction with Caballero? He's so overrated.
He's getting credit for his pro accomplishments. You can call him overrated all you want but he's ranked for what he's done in the ring.Quote:
