Mosley vs Mora in talks for September
Read on another website (cant remember which one) that Mosley is in talks to face Sergio Mora in September.
What do you guys think to this fight?
I think Mosley has too much for Mora and wins a wide decision on points. Will be interesting to see how Mosley fights after his one sided loss to Mayweather.
Re: Mosley vs Mora in talks for September
Fight will be at 154 by the way
Re: Mosley vs Mora in talks for September
I HATE Sergio Mora and I hope he gets demolished.....it'll be odd for him to fight someone with a pulse for a change
Re: Mosley vs Mora in talks for September
I think Mosley schools him! Wide decision or late stoppage!!! Good comeback fight for Mosley, but I'd still like to see him in with some of the top guys at 154 like Williams, Cintron, Dzindziruk, Spinks, a Cotto rematch or even Angulo. I think they're all great fights!

Vernon Forrest was a legitimate opponent.
Re: Mosley vs Mora in talks for September
I think Mosley takes him to school, but I am one of the few Sergio Mora fans in the world so I'll be cheering for him. I think making 154 will probably drain him and he'd have his hands full with Mosley without that problem.
Mosley by fairly wide UD unless he is completely shot.

True! & he gave Mora a beating in the return! Mosley beats him worse imo

Not like it's much of an excuse because I picked Forrest to beat him in both fights, but by all accounts Mora was badly weight-drained in the second fight.

Right out of the Allan Green excuse book! But he took his beating like a man! I was impressed by that...

Well, I don't want to derail the thread, but I think Mora's argument is as legitimate as any other fighter's. He is a natural 160lb'er who enjoyed himself too much after the 1st fight and didn't have enough time to drop the weight. It was his fault, but I think the excuse has some legitimacy. I believe he weighed in heavy and had to lose a pound or two right before the fight as well. That being said, I picked Forrest to beat him in the rematch long before his weight was a known issue and I think he would have lost regardless.

Well at least he can use that excuse again, as Majesty pointed out with the fight at 154 he going to have to cut weight again...

Well, according to Mora, he just needs an appropriate amount of time to make 154 in a healthy way. I don't think it matters though, as long as Mosley isn't totally shot he beats Mora.

He was a shell of his former self...had he not hurt his shoulder to the point where it sapped his power he would have KO'd Mora easily
Either way I hate Sergio Mora and not enough bad things can happen to him (in the ring of course)
Re: Mosley vs Mora in talks for September
Shane should fight Cotto again.
