I don't get how they've managed it, but in September he will be facing Piotr Wilczewski the current champ and ranked world number 3 by the WBO.
If he wins this he will be Euro champ and not far off a world title shot. Not bad coming off the back of a loss!
I don't know much on the opponent, but from what I've read he looks like he could be dangerous.

Lucky Boy to have Frank as his promoter, good luck to Degale, if he looses this one it will be a major set back though, my thinking is they might be trying to temp Groves with the Euro belt for a rematch, will Groves and Booth take the bait ?.

I doubt it would tempt Groves, i have a feeling he is living the high life at the moment riding the crest of a wave and partying and enjoying being a part of the Haye team. I think he will face a reasonably easy opponent next which may even trouble him just to ease him back in to fighting.
At lease De Gale is moving forward. Groves seems to be idle and hanging around Haye. Groves needs to get in the gym and start fighting again. De Gale has connections, Groves needs to start using his.
To be fair, it's only been 6 weeks since a demanding fight (for him) in which he got a pretty bad cut from a clash of heads. One of his mates from Dale Youth told me he wants Magee next, but I doubt they put him in there just yet. That would be a tough ask & Booth's mysterious game plans have now been exposed as throwing fuck all punches & trying to pot-shot your way to victory.Quote:
