WBC Sucks!!!

WBC has stated no one is a mandatory unless they say so! Even after ranking fighters, #1 don't mean a thing. Canelo has not ever fought a #1 contender. But instead have all these #1 contender eliminators. Now they was Vanes to fight Lara for an eliminator instead of giving the #1 guy his due title shot. Canelo should be stripped for not fighting the top guy. But instead Vanes ranking has drop to #3. Here's Saul last 8 fights in which started his title reign . . .
8. Luciano Leonel Cuello (WBC Silver -vacant)
7.Carlos Manuel Baldomir
6.Lovemore Ndou
5.Matthew Hatton(WBC Full Title)
4.Ryan Rhodes
3.Alfonso Gomez
2.Kermit Cintron
1.Shane Mosley

BTW, he's now lined up Kirkland for his next fight. Still not top 3. And should be lower after that A$$whopping Molina gave him.

I totally understand. 154 is stacked. But Saul should have been ordered to fight one of these names already.

BTW, Kirkland will be a easiest fight out of all the names you mentioned. Kirkland style is crowd pleasing, but the kill or be killed style will have him laying down by round 3 against Saul.

i think kirkland would be interesting

canelo doesnt exactly fight defensive and he's been wobbled before

there is a chance of a shock, least a couple of knockdowns either way

I don't rate Kirkland so highly but IMO he'd fare better against Canelo than Martirosyan who's unproven, Bundrage IMO is the easiest of the lot

I see your point but Saul has been fighting decent fighters and he may be getting protection from WBC that another non-Mexican, non-golden boy fighter would not get.

Kirkland needs to rematch Molina, end of. It's transparent "high exposure" match making for Canelo but smart. Kirkland is a whirling train wreck with a thin chin who can be boxed goofy and he knows it took a hood wink to save a win last out. Rankings are essentially a wink and a nod now, just as the trinkets they lead to are.

Bundrage may hold a title but he's nothing great lets be honest. Could easily replace him with Konecny, Maciel, Soro, Baysangurov...

why do you acknowledge the belts??? The organizations are corrupt.

The organizations could care less about unbiased and proper rankings. It is all about making them money.

There are guys that have won belts that didn't face a guy that anyone on here would have ranked in the top 15 of that division.

WBO has some beltholders that are very good fighters. Guys I like to watch fight. Cleverly, Huck, Burns, Donaire, Villoria, etc.... All very good fighters. All clearly top 10 fighters in their division.

But the belt the have doesn't mean much. Why? The WBO is a joke. They once ranked a dead guy. A dead guy. Not only ranked him, but moved him up the rankings, all the while 6 feet under!!!!!

But we are supposed to believe the WBO belt means something. If an organization of any type (government, business, educational institution) acted like the WBO and other organizations, then people would completely ignore them.

But these organizations will name 3 champs in the same division, or rank a dead guy, or have rankings where guys are ranked in the top 5, but no unbiased fan or boxing writer would have that guy in the top 20 of the division, and people don't ignore them.

It makes no sense.

The IBF's former leader was found guilty of all sorts of crimes

The WBA hand out titles like candy. (Sorry I'm only saying this in the interests of fairness not as a defence of the WBO)

Bundrage is 39, if he's not had his chance yet he'll never have it. He'll probably beat Spinks again but beat anyone of any real significance.

Because next to the WBC and WBA, they're the "new kids on the block." But for sheer and blatant corruption, no organization rivals the WBC. José Sulaiman is as corrupt as they come, and his obvious bias toward Mexican fighters is nothing short of shameless. Everyone knows that.
