Blimey, Schaefer wasn't holding back there. Seems like they have history over Quigg. Two sides to a story though. I keep expecting to hear Murray has joined Matchroom.
There's always two sides to a coin.
Remember they offered Rosado a whole $50k to fight Quillin. A full $100k less than he was paid for a fight with Golovkin.
Murray was paid significantly more to face Martinez in Argentina.
Now if Murray was offered $400k etc., Shaeffer's claims make sense. In my opinion, Shaeffer is bitter because he's failing at his job to make a fight for Quillin. Quillin's been on the shelf for the better part of a year and there are no suitable opponents for him.
Maybe they should send Quillin to Australia to face Geale.
Hatton would have made the ultimate decision over whether this fight happened and Poxon is just a handy person for Schaefer to vent against because he doesn't want to fall out with Ricky. Hatton/Murray obviously don't fancy the fight for whatever reason. Probably the money on offer.
I think it's about time to chuck the towel in on hatton promotions, too much wasted talent in the uk that we don't get to see, I don't get why all the promtors use boxnation with warren and give matchroom something to think about

They're still supposed to have some kind of partnership which is why Schaefer is so pissed off. But Hatton Promotions is basically just a north west England promoter, they've never had a single world champion, they went nearly two years without a TV deal. Hatton has lost a lot of money so far in his career as a promoter and he's going to be super careful about every penny from now on.Quote:
