WBC Suspends Adrien Broner- Good business!

Ya know? I wasn't expecting anything to be done about this, but now that something has been done I feel it was appropriate to do something.

Those were despicable and disgraceful comments. The article points at the issue of Floyd making other comments about "yellow chump" to Manny a few years back. But that was a few years back, and the fact of the matter is that you have to start somewhere. They started with Broner.

I don't think he should be suspended indefinitely, considering this political correctness in boxing is kinda/sorta new- and new rules, especially on the fly, need time for folks to adjust. But, did something they did and now everyone has to watch their mouths.

If this was at a heated press conference, no one would have minded. They were arguing. It's expected. But Broner's comments were unsolicited and uncalled for- gratuitous and absolutely unnecessary and idle.

Broner paid.

Indeed. This world is messed and not just boxing. Look at the NFL. Ray Rice knocks his fiancée unconscious and drags her limp body around on camera and he isn't getting near the punishment that Josh Gordon will receive for trace amounts of synthetic THC in his system.

By that same token Broner tries to use a bad joke, just words mind you and suddenly he's suspended. How is calling a Mexican a Mexican worse than Mike Tyson saying he wants to eat someone's children? If only Broner had assaulted a defenseless woman he'd be in no trouble with the morally pure WBC.

It extends further than that, texting and driving is far far far more dangerous than drinking and driving but drinking and driving can land you in prison. Texting and driving will get you a 50$ fine if you catch a cop on the wrong day.

Nothing is fair and sensible. Everything is considered on beliefs that have been constructed from other false beliefs. Actual violence is less severely punished than potential violence. Words are more offensive than actual offensive action.

Wbc Is such a fuckin joke. I dislike Broner but im against him getting " suspended " by a sanctioning body for making harmless comment..

It makes perfect sense to the WBC. The have a clear bias towards Mexicans(I apologize for using what some are pretending is a racial slur). They have for decades. Would anyone be offended if a Scot said I'm going to kick that Brits ass? Would that be racist? No, and I don't believe anyone is stupid enough to believe anything racist happened with Broner. The WBC favors Mexicans and they are favoring Mexicans. It's status quo. They're just pretending it's about race. If Broner had said every darn "can" country but not said Mexican there would be no suspension and we all know it.
