World title shot approaching for Browne. Who's going to win this one?

Yeh WBA , Browne posted this on his Facebook before I'll post the link when I see it.
The whole Oquendo thing was a mess. Chagaev's only loses are to two of best current heavyweights. I think Chagaev defeats Brown easy.

A mess how? I thought Chagaev looked bad and it was a crap fight that he just scraped out after Oquendo sort of stopped boxing.. He might be able to get into better form though, and I'd expect him to beat BRowne, who isn't very good.Quote:

All the delays to begin with, Oquendo's promoters trying to get the WBA not to sanction the fight as Oquendo had agreed without going through his promoters. Almost missing the fight etc. Then Oquendo getting suspended by the WBA for supposedly testing positive for a woman's breast cancer drug. It was a horrible fight, I had Chagaev ahead, only slightly. He should be able to deal with Brown though.
Wasn't sure if you knew all that went down, or were only talking about the actual fight, gotcha. Any idea if this fight would also be in Russia? Chagaev seems to have some nasty people around him. Browne is about the least formidable HW contender out there though imo, not surprised he is getting the shot.Quote:

It was a horrible fight, I had Chagaev ahead, only slightly. He should be able to deal with Brown though.

Chagaev's a far better boxer. A few years ago, this would've been an easy fight for Ruslan...but today :dontknow:
Browne is going to take a beating.
WBA should be cast away with this ridiculous so called B grade world champion. Nothing more than a good matchup , it isn't for a world belt.
