A mess how? I thought Chagaev looked bad and it was a crap fight that he just scraped out after Oquendo sort of stopped boxing.. He might be able to get into better form though, and I'd expect him to beat BRowne, who isn't very good.

To bad that Luis Ortiz guy got caught for PED's, he was in this spot I believe and would probably beat either of these guys.
All the delays to begin with, Oquendo's promoters trying to get the WBA not to sanction the fight as Oquendo had agreed without going through his promoters. Almost missing the fight etc. Then Oquendo getting suspended by the WBA for supposedly testing positive for a woman's breast cancer drug. Talk of the unpaid purse and promised rematch and kidnapping, threats and incidents to get out of the country.

It was a horrible fight, I had Chagaev ahead, only slightly. He should be able to deal with Brown though.

Wasn't sure if you knew all that went down, or were only talking about the actual fight, gotcha. Any idea if this fight would also be in Russia? Chagaev seems to have some nasty people around him. Browne is about the least formidable HW contender out there though imo, not surprised he is getting the shot.
