Headlines like: Jay Cutler's wife shuts down his body shamers
Because I do not have a Twitter or Facebook account and I do not use all these other apps but it seems the entire world is totally hooked into like an umbilical cord. I guess I am not aware of what is actually going on out there in the social media cyberspace theater. Are these grown-ups adults famous people and celebrities actually responding all the time in such a life-or-death kind of melodramatic reaction two people who they do not even know who live on the other side of the world comments about whether their husband or wife looks fat in a certain picture? That is sad enough but what is more sad is that that particular phenomenon would then make the headlines of a news Outlet. So now we get these headlines that one person has responded very thoroughly and victoriously to a stranger's criticism of their child or their spouse. Now we are reading those headlines as if that is a news story worthy of reading and caring about and being interested in. What a ridiculous amount of useless meaningless layers and layers of absolute empty devoid of any kind of intelligence or spirituality whatsoever news or so-called news. The headline that I copied above in the title of this post for me personally is a clear sign if there ever was one that humanity is now in its very last throes

It's a bit like Anthony Joshua getting someone to take his photo whilst preying in a mosque (whilst wearing sunglasses) and then people being shocked when he starts taking abuse online for it.
He was supposed to be preying so why has he got someone to take his photo? It was obviously a case of 'this will obviously endear me to the general public, hey we'd best get a photo of it...oh hang on, let me ,just put my sunglasses on, my hordes of fans on instagram will think I'm so diverse and cool if I'm preying in a mosque with my sunglasses on'
Incorrect, these people don't know Joshua personally and a lot of people only follow celebrities so they can rip them apart the first chance they get (see Eubank Jr on twatter)
If the celebrities put themselves out there then they should be able to take what is thrown at them, I don't fancy having a bunch of strangers calling me a fat ugly cut therefore I'm not on any social media, no one "bodyshames" me because they wouldn't say it to my face, if I put pictures online of me with my gut hanging out then say what you want to me, I've put myself in that position so I'm not going to cry about it.

Exactly. For example I have been called a short bald big nose dwarf and that is because I am short and bald and I have a big nose and I'm only five foot six and a half inches tall. I put my picture and my videos out there and I don't care if somebody says I am a short bald big nose dwarf because I have put my pictures and videos out there. I cannot imagine if somebody called me a short bald big nose to water that I would then try to strike back at them and say something about how I'm not everybody can be tall and not everybody can have a full head of hair and not everybody can have a medium nose etcetera as if I am actually giving credence to the fact that the insurer bald and big nose is something bad.

I have probably been more than delicate in my life, so I wouldn't want to be too harsh on the kids. Van Gogh chopped off his ear because was feeling uncomfortable, Burroughs chopped off his little finger, Plath put her head in the oven. I don't think people are any more delicate today than in the past. It is just that more people are able to abuse you directly in the Internet utopia. If Van Gogh had the Internet he would have been limbless by 30.

Is this social media lark, that's gave every Tom, Dick and Harriet a voice, definitely to blame for all these whining fucking maggots or were people always like this without the platform?
I can't believe the shit people are "offended" by today, what's regarded as no go/wrong. Most of the time it seems people are offended on behalf of others. And most of these cunts want to express their right to be offended.
They'll be the same type that don't give pensioners a seat on the bus or hold doors open for people etc.
