In all honesty I don't know, Paddy. There are a lot of warning signs that things are not quite right. I look at world economics, global warming, an increasing world population, the middle east and so on as serious challenges and currently we are just not up to the task of dealing with them. Man has the tremendous ability to adapt and change so I'm hopeful that something can be done to avert the worst, but so far, like I say, it's all lip service to the public whilst lobbyists are fighting tooth and nail to keep the status quo.

I read and keep up to date with things all around me, but I'm no expert on such issues though. I've a hunch that things will get really sticky at points, but the complete end of humanity? Probably not. It won't be all about fast growth and being able to consume what we want though. Just maybe we've got it all wrong and it's life as normal, but I struggle to see that.
