Man, thats kind of hard to watch. So many things wrong there. Roach shouldn't have come at Garcia like that and definitely not have gotten racial. But Ariza trying to act tough is funny but kicking Roach and making fun of his condition is out of bounds. I think Garcia did well and Rios is as cool a professional as it gets. I forgot he was even in the scene until the end when they showed him not missing a step on the elliptical. But now I want to see Roach kick Ariza's butt on the undercard.

First off I think Garcia is a great dude and he was the better man. My problem or what I would like to point out about Garcia is....For a Head Coach he kinds of tolerate too much around his camp. Maybe thats just him but he laughs a lot of things off like he really is enjoying the jokes. I still remember seeing Brandon making fun of roach and there is Head Coach Garcia tolerating childs play and actually laughing as well. Here again you see someone from his camp (Ariza) making fun of roach and there is Head Coach Garcia laughing smiling about it. Garcia IMHO is a good dude but weak in a way he tolerate something negative or plain wrong and smiles aabout it. As for Roach, you know a guy like that isn't gonna forget that video you yes you Garcia, Rios, Margarito and that hang on Jew Kid with the camera all made, having a laugh about his Parkinson.
The star here is Rios, he didn't get involved at all. Props to him for that. That hanger on Elli or whatever his name is, dude who always rides Rios dik or any athlete who would pay him attention, that boy is gonna fight himself very alone some day.

That was interesting. Roach had the gym booked for 11, which they knew, but were refusing to leave. So he goes over to tell 'em they're taking the piss cause they should be gone already.
Ariza starts mocking his Parkinsons then boots him in the chest. Then the fat Mexican guy gets all aggressive and threatens to chuck Roach out and duff him up.
Then Roach calls him a "Mexican mother fucker" and everyone goes "ooohhh racist." Then Roach tells the security to throw out that "Jew fucker" and everyone goes "ooohhh racist," all the while Roach is still having his Parkinsons mocked and is being called a faggot and threatened and nobody bats an eyelid.

This was a classic hype play between two camps that escalated out of control. Roach shouldn't have said that racist crap and Ariza shouldn't have made fun of his Parkinson's. When I heard about it I thought it was staged but if they'd staged it they would have left the racist stuff out of it. That actually happened. Arum and Top Rank have downplayed it as much as they could, they're not looking to make publicity out of it. Roach will get his own back anyway, Rios is going to take all the beating he can handle.
Roach might not have been a great pro fighter but he knows the game inside and out. He may have parkinsons but part of him wanted to throw it down with ariza and they should have let him.
This whole incident has made me want to see this fight even more and im sure alot more people would like to see this.
Rios did the right thing by staying out of this but he had no option as he couldnt screw up the biggest payday of his life plus he was critical of roach illness in the past with his pathetic mocking.

I don't know if this was staged but I can see Arum setting up a rife and getting more than he bargained for. Garcia said Arum told them that they have to do interviews for 15 to 20 minutes so their gym time would run over. Garcia's camp only gets the gym from 9 to 11. Roach's camp gets it from 11 to 4 so that is unfair to start. After the scuff the clock showed 11:10. I guess Roach didn't know about the interviews and running over time and Pac wasn't even there so Roach's approach was quite harsh. He went over to Garcia in the middle of that interview and said to Garcia "Your time is up" and "Get the f&#k out of here you piece of sh#t." By time Pac gets there and he wraps his hands the Garcia camp is out of there. Ariza is the worst to me because this is really between the trainers but Roach is far from innocent and I think people are giving him a pass because of his condition. Some people have their bias and will root for and against their predetermined guy(s) so they will spin it and see it how they want it to be. Anybody neutral or willing to set their bias aside will see this incident for what its worth and not all of a sudden cling to other stuff. Controversy sells and Arum gave us a good scoop of it right here. This will in fact bolster the PPV...which as a boxing fan I can appreciate but the road is low class.
