Re: Britain vote to leave the EU
The revolt was planned a long time ago but you won't hear much about it in the mainstream news. I have been moaning about the media and their treatment of Corbyn for months. This rebellion is a planned one and none of their justifications make any sense. Corbyn is extremely popular. The media doesn't have the effect it think it has. People know the truth and what the fear machine is now.
Re: Britain vote to leave the EU
Oh, for sure. Alex Jones is always a crackpot and that just doesn't wash anymore. The alternative views are out of the bottle now and you see with the referendum fear failing and the inability to demonise Trump that the old media doesn't work anymore. Fingers crossed Corbyn can stick this out and the Brits can see through and resist the nonsense. Corbyn would be the best thing to happen to the UK since defeating Hitler. It's that important and that's what it's all about. They cannot stand the prospect of an end to neo liberalism and a return to proper 'fuddy duddy' values.

Labour membership is up 60,000 in a week. More than doubled in a year. People clearly want Corbyn and the snakes just don't want to listen or hear. Good, resign all of you. Go and join the Tories or form the War Criminal Mafia Alliance or whatever it is you are into, but you are the problem and you are in the wrong party. Blair was the aberration and you are either going to learn that or face oblivion. If Corbyn goes, then Labour goes too.
Because this was a revolt planned a long time ago. The media are a massive part of it.
I think Corbyn will not win Labour the general election and for the party he must stand down because the people we need to vote for the party will not vote for him.

I think you are wrong on this mate. Nye Bevan was correct years ago when he said "the right wing of the Labour Party would rather see it fall into perpetual decline than abide by its democratic decisions.” Don't let them fool you. Benn and Hodge etc have nowhere near the support that Corbyn does among the electorate willing and likely to vote at a general election. It is not coincidence that the Blairites spend more time writing newspaper columns then campaigning and that the turnout in their constituencies to support the remain campaign was so low. It is only under him that the scapegoating of migrants, something that has even become rampant on this forum and the rise of racism would be addressed. My friends kids were asked the day after the result "when are you going home?" (mixed race) and the Polish Center which has been in Plymouth for over 100 years has had "Go home Vermin" sprayed over it in the last few days. It's not a game for those of us living in the UK and the Labour supporters that are part and parcel of the problem with the same thinking would not vote for Labour anyway unless they became so right wing that you may as well vote Lib Dem or Tory. The fact is the Tories have moved so far to the right that only a radical left position as occupied by Corbyn would re balance the situation and repair some of the damage done. I was at an FE college last week and my friend who teaches there asked his students who they would vote for in an election and the overwhelming majority said Corbyn. The next generation want change and he is offering that.

I really hope you are right but he has the Blairites, right wing media, Labour voters that went to UKIP and snp, and moderate tories to win over and I can not a see that happening.

Are you guys in the same boat as we. Election or campaign or work your way up the ladder politicians spout out some great ideas but when in office its usually status quo. The us stock market gained back almost all the loses since the brexit vote which I didn't think would happen so fast.

Probably happened because Brexit was a charade and people are realising the UK will take years to leave if ever. A bit like what happened in Greece maybe. They should leave but I will believe it when I see it.
Re: Britain vote to leave the EU
It will take 2 years to leave and it will not be total, a deal will be made.

Huntington bank that bought out the company I work for took a hit due to Brexit. So sad, but you nailed it on status quo politicians.

Re: Britain vote to leave the EU
It is very strange. It seems to be middle class/'educated' young people who are most upset about the referendum. Maybe they will think differently after they get a few years in the real world. It's easy to be a social justice warrior when you are unmarried and still living with your parents after a semester studying sociology.
