I had it 2 rounds for Jack, the knock downs even themselves but Jack was landing the harder and more effective punches. Degale was throwing flurries, mainly late in the rounds and were not landing.Quote:

The fight with Smith will probably not happen now against Degale.

Before this fight DeGale was talking about moving up to fight Adonis Stevenson but after losing his front teeth, getting his eardrum shattered and face busted up he prob will stay at 168 awhile longer......

DeGale may have had his teeth knocked out, but if you cannot keep your gumshield in then you should get points taken away and disqualified if need be. He was very lucky in that regard too and should have been docked a point which would have lost him the fight.
Degale saying to Jack that he would get paid if he would go to the UK was also very insulting. Jack had just messed up his opponent, been stiffed on the cards, and then has this arrogant person saying that he should go to the UK and have a rematch in order to 'get paid'. If I was Jack I would shrug my shoulders and move on. He has nothing to prove after that.

Degale only earned £750k for that which is peanuts considering it was a unification fight and in the USA so it just proves that both fighters have fuck all market value.
Makes absolute sense for Jack to swallow it and do the rematch at the same weight and in the UK where both fighters would earn 2-3 times more.
Thing is Eddie Hearn could be laughing either way ;D

Not "absolute sense", it makes zero sense. You said it yourself "that both fighters have fuck all market value". A fight there would make more but your numbers are way off. Jack is struggling to make weight, compromising himself as a fighter. And he's been jobbed twice in a row. You think he should damage himself more AND put himself in a situation where he is MORE likely to be jobbed again. Makes no sense.Quote:

Jack is moving up to 175 so that's that as far as a rematch goes. Smith will fight Dirrell for the vacant title and if he wins there'll be a big UK unification fight. If Groves win's a title then he is in the mix too.
