how come it was subtitles mate?love van damme,he was my childhood hero.Bloodsports1 one is the nuts man, what a film that was!!!!Fanastic movie!;)
It's actually as much an arthouse film as an action film & shows that he can really act, & is largely set in Brussels so obviously its mainly in French. It's certainly very different, the action sequences are done in a very different way to his previous films. He's playing himself in the movie. Quite frankly I think its a travesty Sean Penn got the Oscar for playing that gay fella, I've watched both, & I thought Van Damme was better ;D
subtitles, no pls prob will stay away from it now:mad:

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)

creep-shit british horror set on the london underground

I was disappointed with Iron Man
Last film watched -The Forbidden Kingdom.
Jackie Chan & Jet Li - yay. Good action sequences and wire work. Let's be honest you don't watch most MA movies for the plot.

Agree on both points, I was expecting much better from Iron Man, but like The Forbidden Kingdom, a kind of Karate Kid meets Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon ;D

Street Fighter. The ratings on it were the worst I've ever seen at around 6% on rottontomato so ofc had to see it. Made it all the way thru and it didn't disappoint. Got my 6% worth.

WATCHMEN. Saw it opening night at the IMAX. It was really good in terms of cinematography, but some of the acting performances just fell flat. Too bad as the production was nuanced and obviously painstakingly constructed.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Dead Silence, from the people who made Saw, about an old ventriloquist witch who created dolls which killed people, & this guy goes to his lil hometown to discover the truth or some shit like that, after which pretty much all the characters die without you carin, & then they spring a twist on you that if you have more then 5 braincells & are not blind you saw coming much much earlier. As you can see I did not become a big fan. Basically everything that they did right in Saw (the 1st one) they do wrong here.

I saw this yesterday and like you didn't read the graphic novel at all. I thought it was great. the cinematography was exceptional. A bit long but it had to be for them to explain each characters story.

Yeah, the movie was long but nowadays, people expect movies to be wrapped up in 1.5-2 hours. I think with today's prices, people should be happy to get a bit more bang for their buck with this movie.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
AN Australian western called "The Proposition" with great scenery and blood lust with non stop action. It was a slow boring night so I also watched "Batman Begins" and the sequel, "The Dark Knight." It was a bit much but sometimes there's nothing I rather do than veg out when there is no sports to watch and sometimes your friends may be doing something you're just not interested in doing so a movie day every once in a while isn't bad for the soul.
