Well fuck me I might have to take up tiddlywinks or something, I never knew that boxing was such an exclusive sport.
I've watched hundreds of hours of boxing, I've studied fighters and closely followed their career but you think that just because someone has never got in the ring themselves they have no knowledge of the sport, that is quite frankly a ridiculous statement.
I've never played top flight football but I know what the offside rule is, I've never rode a horse but I can still pick a bet, I've never played snooker at the crucible but I know how many points are needed to win a frame and can tell a good shot when I see one.
Wipe those tears batman, im not belittling anyone just pointing out the obvious that yeah, many sofa sports fans and keyboard warriors may think the fight was quite right to be left to carry on but the opinion of every person interviewed ringside (bar his own team and the ref), mostly people who had had an involvement in the sport was that it should have been stopped earlier.

Your welcome to an opinion as everyone is just be prepared for it to be wrong.
You may well like to have opinions on football but the object of that game is not to punch the opponent in the head and render them unconscious. Some times its best to listen to the professionals opinions.

You have no idea about all the other posters and what their involvement in boxing is. Just because you assume something does not make it so. There are many here involved in boxing at all levels and connected in many ways that you have no idea of. So your opinion is just that, an opinion, no more or less worthy than that of anyone else. Who are these professionals opinions we should be listening to ? Just those supporting your argument ? Surely you don't class yourself as a pro ? Eubank and Blackwell were not taking it easy on each other, they were trying to hurt each out and that

The question about who has boxed has been asked on here before and very few have. The ones arguing with me havent. They are entitled to an opinion but the opinion that the fight was fine to let carry on to the stage it did is obviously wrong! I would like to ask a question to all those people who have laid blame for Saturday night on the trainer, promoter, referee etc.
After the fight was stopped, and Blackwell was stood talking to Eubank Sr., how many of you thought "he's going to be in trouble here, he's going to end up in Hospital in a coma?"
Yeah, thought as much. At times like this everyone brings up the McLennan tragedy.
It is believed that the Blow that did the damage in that fight was as early as the 2nd or 3rd round, yet he went on for a few rounds more.
The ref and trainer are not doctors and don't have a scanner with them. They can't say "oh wait , that's the blow, better stop the fight!"
Still , easier to sit in your armchair and slag people off isn't it? That'll fix everything.
You make out like he wasnt getting hit repeatedly. It was a joke. There was a massive gulf in class and skills and looked exactly like the OSullivan "fight" bar the corner having any sense.

Who had Whyte faced? He hadnt fought anybody relevant.
Blackwell had beaten Ryder, took Saunders the distance, gave a good acount of himself as a complete novice against Murray.
He was a known quantity, had done 12 rounds and been in title fights and had won and defended a title!!! Pushed Saunders a world champ who would have you believe that Blackwell was going to do Eubank. As it happens Eubank dealt with him far easier than anyone.

You have reminded me how tough Blackwell is, remember against Ryder he was losing the fight and being out classed? Blackwell has been in some very hard fights. His come from behind victories show he would have wanted to carry on.
