re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Watched 'Bobby' last night (the film 'about' Bobby Kennedy).
Was a bit disappointed in that it didn't really focus enough on Kennedy himself, and had way too many different plotlines goin on (although it sort of drew em together in the end). Also some of the scenes were painfully cheesy.
To its credit, the last 15 minutes or so were fantastic, but from a film of over a 100 mins thats not really what you want.
Its hard to say whether this film is really good or bad, the most accurate is that its mixed.
There's some very good performances from Harry Belafonte, Larry Fishburne, Christian Slater & the guys playing the Latino kitchen staff (sorry can't remember their names).
However, any film that decides its ok to cast Lindsay Lohan, Ashton Kutcher, Shia LaBeouf & Nick fuckin Cannon in a serious film is always gonna struggle. Also there are too many Hollywood stars (Demi Moore, Sharon Stone, Anthony Hopkins, Helen Hunt) who you get the sense chose to be in it so they display some kind of liberal credentials.
However, the brief moments that illustrate what Bobby Kennedy was like as a polititian alone make it worthwhile, if only to get a look at one of the truly inspiring political figures of that time. The film suffers from not focusing on him more.

Role Models was fantastic. One of the best comedies I have seen in awhile. That little black kid is hilarious. I agree Mick he's is gonna be a huge star.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
I just had knee surgery yesterday I had a torn meniscus so I rented a few movies because I knew I would be laid up for a few days. I got Quarantine, Milk, and the newest Punisher movie I haven't watched any of them yet but I'm about to pop in Quarantine in a few minutes.
-
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
So yesterday all I did was watch movies because once again I'm laid up from my surgery. Quarantine was pretty good I thought they could of done more with it but not to bad. The Punisher movie was kinda stupid in my opinion I thought the previous one was better. Milk was a really good flick, I'm not really into gay movies like brokeback mountain but this one was decent. Sean Pean is a great actor.

I like the principle in Stigmata that if Jesus was around he would be horified about the establishment of a religion under his name, he was anti-establishment and said religion was inside the person not in buildings.
End of days was good and Gabriel Byrne was goo in it too.
See Gattica it is about a world in the future that decides what you will be by you genes and someone trying to go against that culture.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
I watched the boxer with Daniel Day-Lewis again for the 100th time.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
I watched on the ropes from the link I posted in the DL section, pretty well made movie I thought, other than that havent watched much, mainly tv series such as entourage, mcguiver (what can't he do?) and underbelly.
-
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
The boxer isnt that good tbh. I just watch anything that has boxing in it.
On the ropes was good, but it got sappy near the end.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Watched Green Street (Hooligans) 1 & 2 over the weekend; although they're both terribly untrue being a football fan I quite enjoyed the watch as hooliganism (although a very small percentage) is part of the game
As for boxing movies I quite like Ali (Will Smith) would recommend it

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
I FINALLY got to watch Unforgiven all the way through in peace.....God damn Clint Eastwood is in some fine Westerns! Hackman and Freeman also don't hurt the movie ;) .....I figured the end would be a bit more gory but eh, it worked out due to good actors.
-
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
I just saw this excellent BBC film. It's called "Matchpoint".

Yeah I really felt sorry for that woman, I'm not sure what happened to him, looked like he didnt want to fight in the pros anymore though. I'm guessing he would be on boxing rec if you want to look him up.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi.../Teen_Wolf.jpg
i remember i had this poster on my wall as a kid ha ha now i feel old!
-
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
TeenWolf is an awesome movie!
Coach Finstock: There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.
Stiles was the best though. "Just watch those WAVES!"
-
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
ha ha lyle your right brotha coach was amazing, just didnt care
coach finstock: Look Scotty, I know what you're going through. Couple years back, a kid came to me much the same way you're coming to me now, saying the same thing that you're saying. He wanted to drop off the team. His mother was a widow, all crippled up. She was scrubbing floors. She had this pin in her hip. So he wanted to drop basketball and get a job. Now these were poor people, these were hungry people with real problems. Understand what I'm saying?
Scott Howard:What happened to the kid?
coach finstock: I don't know. He quit. He was a third stringer, I didn't need him.
------------------------------------------------------------------
coach finstock:It doesn't matter how you play the game, it's whether you win or lose. And even that doesn't make all that much difference.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
dragons basketball coach:You want to forfeit the game?
coach finstock:Yeah, what's wrong with that?
dragons basketball coach:No.
coach finstock:No?
dragons basketball coach:My players have league scoring records at stake. It wouldn't be fair to them.
coach finstock:I just thought figured you quit now, you can beat the 5 o'clock traffic.
dragons basketball coach:There's a lot to learn from losing.
coach finstockAlright, we'll play, if it's that big a deal to you.
;D
