Vera is there to be hit. Before his last fight with Donatas Bondorovas, Vera publicly said he'd rather not have to face Chavez. But guess what? He won that fight (albeit not too convincingly)... and money talks. So Vera will gladly assume the role of cannon fodder for Junior, who is sure to come into the fight at somewhere between 180 and 190 pounds. Team Chavez will not make THAT mistake again.... no sir.
Need I say more?
Yeah Chavez Sr. really suck. Most be why he went undefeated against Puerto Rican fighters his whole career.
Way to deflect the argument, dipshit.
I'm ridiculing Junior's shameless spoonfeeding... and something on Papa is all you can come up with?
You idiocy is reaching new depths.
But whatever.....
Re: HBO: Martinez vs Murray, Arreola vs Stiverne.... Saturday night fight thread
So I understand it correctly, Barker turned down the fight with Junior because he didn't want to fight Junior at super middleweight. That makes sense, if you're Barker, why go up to super middleweight, if you can still make middleweight.
Has Junior made a statement that he is permanently leaving the middleweight division?

Cuz it would of paid you very well
Re: HBO: Martinez vs Murray, Arreola vs Stiverne.... Saturday night fight thread
Did anyone else notice that Sergio Martinez did not look his usual cut-up self? He appeared more fleshy than is typical for him. I wonder if the knee injury suffered in his fight against Junior actually didn't heal as fast as they wanted and that affected his camp. Either way, he's out for a year.
Re: HBO: Martinez vs Murray, Arreola vs Stiverne.... Saturday night fight thread
I had Martinez by 2 rounds...
He won the 11th & 12th rounds which for me won him the fight.
A really close fight.
Re: HBO: Martinez vs Murray, Arreola vs Stiverne.... Saturday night fight thread
Also Arreola was talking shit about Fury 2 weeks ago saying he got dropped by a midget and that he would destroy Fury... :-X
Anyone who's impressed by Bermane or whatever his name is should have his vision checked there is absolutely NOTHING "special" about him...
I see nothing there that leads me to believe he can beat either Wlad or Vitaly. I'm wouldn't favor him vs. Adamek or Banks.
Yes he did good. Yes he flat out beat Arreola. Yes he broke Arreolas nose. Yes he dropped Arreola. But it was Arreola...
Same thing with Fury I'd like to see him vs. Adamek, Banks or even Thompson.

So are you saying his nickname should be A-Force Arreola? Maybe to differentiate himself from another guy who gets a big rep and loses badly he should be A-Force One?

Cut the personal bullshit, VD. Everyone here knows you're incapable of even the slightest unbias when it comes to your boy Chavez Jr. You spit out comments like "Barker punked out" without giving it a second thought.
But the worst of it is your stupid claim that Chavez Jr. somehow "ruined" Martinez, when everyone on the planet knows you're full of shit. Junior didn't "ruin" Martinez. Martinez ruined Martinez. He made the mistake of coming back from hurting his knee and his hand. The same hand he used over and over again to beat Junior into a bloody pulp, as he was schooling the shit out of him. Can you get that through your thick fucking skull? Maybe if someone else says it, you'll finally understand.
Now STFU and man up when you've made a fucking stupid comment.

What was he suppose to do? Not come back? Not only a dumb bitch like you would say he made a mistake coming back. He just scored the biggest win of his career. He's as popular as he's ever gonna be. And he's position himself to earn the biggest purses of his career. Yet he made a mistake coming back? Yeah ok. First Wlad should retire for the good of boxing. And now Martinez made a mistake coming back. Stupid muthafukka. Again you prove how right I am when I tell you, you don't know shit about boxing. You really fucking don't. And yes you should be feel embarrassed. To the point that you should go throw yourself in front of a bus

"Coming back too fast", I should've said. You know what I meant.
I made a typographical mistake, and you get to crow about it and try to get everyone to forget the stupid, dumbass claim you made about Chavez "ruining" Martinez.
You're a moronic motherfucker who doesn't deserve to live.
Re: HBO: Martinez vs Murray, Arreola vs Stiverne.... Saturday night fight thread
I do understand your liking of your boxer guys but calm down, at the end of the day all you all have is a difference of opinion over boxers and nothing more serious.
So who wants to see Broner get KO'd?

I'm far from being you. I don't take comments back. Typographical mistake. Shut the fuck up with the bullshit lies.
The Chavez fight did ruin Martinez. Nobody takes exception to that but you. You know why? Boxing knowledge. Most her have it. You don't.
Re: HBO: Martinez vs Murray, Arreola vs Stiverne.... Saturday night fight thread
I think Lampley brought it up as well. That the Chavez fight took something out of Martinez. I think there is some truth to that. Martinez dominated the fight. But he did take some punches. And those punches were from a bigger fighter. Martinez is still a good fighter. To say the Chavez fight might of ruined him isn't a mark against him. Because there is some truth to it. That's just my opinion.
