Re: Britain vote to leave the EU
They have bouncers on the door at Sunderland A and E on Friday and Saturday nights. Very few foreigners up here compared to elsewhere. We're capable of causing large quantities of homegrown domestic British trouble with no need for immigrants to come over here and do it for us.
Corbyn is completely and utterly unelectable. Just because a bunch of lefties pay £3 to join the Labour party and vote for him doesn't mean he can get millions of people to vote for him in a general election.
These fucking idiots made the same mistake in 1982.
Michael Foot was the same kind of right on lefty leader and said he was amazed at the size of the crowds turning up to his meetings and rallies all over the country. He was convinced he was going to win a landslide. There was a landslide result all right.

Farage has resigned from being the leader UKIP. Mission accomplished for him.

On that note, pretty gutted today that Michael Foots memorial here in his home of Plymouth was defaced by EDL and BNP idiots with Swastikas and their acronyms. The Polish shops have had stuff written over them too. I know that the vast majority of Brexit voters are not of the same ilk but the bigots among us are crawling out from under the woodwork as though they think their small minded views have some how been endorsed by the majority. The Poles including my family (Polish and German Jews on one side and Romany.Irish and English Gypsies on the other) have been in the UK a long time before the EU and we will be here for a long time after.
I know what you are saying but I think you will be surprised by how many vote for the Loony left if a general election is called. Many people, including huge amounts of young people have had enough of the same old, same old, and will vote in protest even if their politics is more to the center. The tories have swung so far to the right that is the only way to redress some balance into public services and the society Thatcher damned by denying it. Don't get me wrong a lot of young people were apathetic and though wanting to remain in the EU did not bother to vote, and so they must accept their part in the decision going as it did. It might just be the wake up call they needed though. We will see.
Re: Britain vote to leave the EU
I agree with that, but I would also argue that the young have not really experienced much of the world and have been indoctrinated for a long time. I know I was naive at that age, and I am sure a lot of youngsters are the same way. They will be more positive towards Europe, but they have less historical perspective or understanding that there were once actually jobs in manufacturing rather than in retail. Their parents will obviously see things a little differently as will kids in deprived areas of which there are many.
I think the racism issue is being overdone, but clearly some are using it as an excuse to get physical and that isn't cool. I think the 52% are likely mostly made up of let down and frustrated people, rather than being racist. They have got twisted into being racist by politicians and media who live very easy and sheltered lives. 'Ooh look, graffiti' and then the typical Guardian nonsense about out of control societal racism. There would be no tension if immigration was controlled from the start.
Labour started it as a vote winner and it has led to social tensions and it will only get worse and it is not because of the intrinsic racism of people it is because of the unrestrained and out of control actions of politicians. Just another example of how politicians seemingly don't care about what they are doing to people.

Damn that was like three months ago I painted that swastika on your door can't you let it go. It's my freedom of expression we are talking about.
Re: Britain vote to leave the EU
I was in the A&E from 6 not when the pubs/clubs turned out. Also, not blaming it on immigrants, just the sheer number of time wasters.
They would be better off employing people to chuck out all the piss takers.
Problem? Cut finger. Out!
Problem? Dizzy. You've been drinking? Yes. Out!
Problem? What. Problem? What problem. Out!

Did anyone ever say it would be spent on the NHS though? I know they had a daft bus with a banner that said lets spend the 350 million a day on the NHS but c'mon. Farrage doesnt decide what to spend 3 pound 50 of our money on let alone 350 million. Anyone (and there have been some) that thinks he promised to spend 350 million quid on the NHS and has now reneged is living in cloud cuckoo land.
I've left the figure at 350 million as thats what the poster said. The actual figure Im unsure of and if the people who ought to be sure are vague about it or 'dispute it' then what hope is there for us simple folk.

Re: Britain vote to leave the EU
More people do not protest that are informed of issues than people who do protest and do not know what the real issues are.
Either way I would do her.
