Re: SKY Box Ofice - FROCH V GROVES 2 - Unfinished Business -Saturday Night Chat Threa
We saw how tough Froch is. Like the Bute fight he was losing. Froch when on the attack and Groves couldn't handle it. Groves is still a good fighter and will be back.

Yes trying. :)
Having experienced this myself, if you have to confirm that you are indeed attempting to be amusing, then you have failed in the case of some readers.

Re: SKY Box Ofice - FROCH V GROVES 2 - Unfinished Business -Saturday Night Chat Threa
Sorry to disappoint Groves fans but he isn't coming back strong. He's going to fade into mediocrity, mark my words. A couple comeback wins, people will be excited about him again, and he'll get spanked when he steps up.

I'm really disappointed with Groves' performance. He fought like a guy who was scared of running out of gas rather than someone who had come to take the champion's belts. After watching that, it's obvious that the way he faded in the first fight was weighing heavy on his mind and he simply didn't do enough or take the fight to Froch. There just seemed to be a real lack of ambition from Groves.
It was a very disappointing fight after all the hype as well. The crowd were even booing at one point.
Fair play to Froch though. That was a great punch. Groves deserved to get sparked for coming out in a fucking bus as well. The twat!

He already stepped up chump. Twice in a row. The kid is 26 and almost single handedly engineered the biggest fight in the UK since the 1930s. You are both cynical and wrong. Give him a break already. Ffs.
Yeah he stepped up twice and look what happened to him. Two KO losses on the record.
Like I said, he'll duck down, beat a few stiffs, get his confidence back up... then get spanked when he steps up again.
George Groves doesn't have the goods.
Re: SKY Box Ofice - FROCH V GROVES 2 - Unfinished Business -Saturday Night Chat Threa
I like that Kelle Sauerland has taken on the management contract of Groves, and that he brought Marco Huck over with him. England v Germany is where so many of the world's battles are to be found at the moment, and having Groves on his books may still prove to be a very good business deal for him.
Re: SKY Box Ofice - FROCH V GROVES 2 - Unfinished Business -Saturday Night Chat Threa
Tysonesque, It wasn't lack of ambition it was lack of opportunity as Carl was a lot more conservative this time.

froch was brilliant. the way he waited and conserved his strength for later rounds. i was wondering WTF he was doing by being so unaggressive early on. but now i see. wait for dude to tire a little, and get some great body blows in to slow him down, then whammo!! what a punch!!! WOW!!!
groves did well, but he should try to not be such a douche for real. talks too much smack.
he aint got shit to say now i reckon....
Re: SKY Box Ofice - FROCH V GROVES 2 - Unfinished Business -Saturday Night Chat Threa
Groves can come back. Maybe a change of trainers and a few easy fights to build up the confidence as someone said. Having a lost or 2 isn't the end of a career. It's just modern boxing fans are now so enamored with undefeated records or crap on a guy that has a lost. Boxing history is littered with all time greats and champions having losses while climbing the ranks.

I think the opposite is true. He more than held his own for large portions of both fights against a far better and more experienced fighter than most people fight at his age. You have already damned him before he has even announced his next opponent. You sound like a casual sports fan not a boxing fan.
